Daisy had a fleeting, bizarre thought—why had Maria, who was constantly rejected, suddenly been accepted for this job by the new mistress? But she quickly shrugged it off, thinking she was overanalyzing. The other woman, Daze, had also been picked up along with Maria.

Daisy had interrogated Daze before disguising herself as her, so she knew there was nothing particularly special about her identity, nor did Daze seem to hold any critical information. This must just be a fluke.
