The butler, having worked for the Kingsleys for years, was smart and efficient. His loyalty laid in the man who was the head of the family and with his experience, it was not difficult for him to tell that the family had already undergone a huge shift of powers. The one in control was no longer Nathan Kingsley but rather, Ryle.
However, he had miscalculated one thing.
''Don't bother,'' Ryle calmly stated.
"Master, are you firing us?" The corner of the butler's eyes revealed deep wrinkles as he spoke, ''I have offended you many times in the past but back then, your father was the master but now…''
''He is not my father,'' Ryle spoke calmly, ''And this should never be forgotten by you.''
When he spoke up to that, he did not notice Daisy's gaze that had snapped to her face.
''For the rest, we are leaving this place tonight. And this mansion will be demolished in a week. From now, the Kingsleys would cease to exist.''
