Chapter 13 : The Attack

Both Harley and Marietta gave her an innocent smile before looking at each other.

"We will free your kind but first you have to help us and don't play tricks," Marietta said looking at Miranda suspiciously.

"Deal."

"That's too easy and fast, what's your take on it?"

"I trust you and as I said earlier, all I want from the both of you is to free me and my kind from this shit hole," Miranda said looking frustrated at the cave.

"Okay, I guess we gave a deal then."

With a smile on her face"Follow me." Miranda led them to a part of the cave where a stream sprinkled with beautiful diamonds and crystals and a small flat rock. She took a bowl, dipped it into the stream, and gave it to Marietta.

"Drink up and Harkly, can you help me hold her?"

"Wait a minute, how did you…?"

"Know your name?"

"Selene told me?"

"The Moon goddess?" Harley and Marietta asked in union.

"I guess that's what she's called now."

"How long have you been here?"Marietta asked, placing the bowl of water beside her on the rock.

"I can't remember, it's been a long time."

"That explains why there's a lot of diamonds and crystals here and this place hasn't turned into a museum."

"No one can see or feel this place unless you're a witch or were sent here by someone powerful or you are powerful yourself."

"Okay, so who do you think I am?" Marietta asked looking at Miranda."Do you think the Moon goddess sent me here or I am powerful enough to sense this place?"

"You haven't fully recovered your wolf and Selene said you were coming only this morning."

"Okay, I think we should get to the reason we came here, it's getting late and we have to get back to my pack, I am having a bad feeling about staying out too late," Harley said walking towards Marietta and standing at her back.

"Okay, drink the bowl of water and close your eyes. You will have to bear the pain."

Marietta didn't say anything, drank the bowl of water, and closed her eyes.

Miranda stood in front of Marietta and cast a spell, saying, "I call upon their mother of nature, the mother of life, to hear my plea and bring back the soul which has been separated from its rightful body, restore the memories and strength, and bring back fully the spirit of Monica." Blue smoke suddenly emerges from nowhere and surrenders Marietta. It lifted her and a small amount of the blue smoke came out of Marietta joined the others and entered Marietta's body in the blink of an eye.

The only thing Marietta could feel was pain, she felt her bones breaking and rearranging themselves to another position. That was all she could put her mind on before it went blank. She opened her eyes and she was standing on top of a lake and a white wolf opened its red eyes and was looking at her.

"Hey pup, missed me?" Monica said with a playful tone.

Marietta couldn't say anything and burst into tears with a smile on her face while nodding her head. She closed her eyes and opened it to see Miranda smiling down at her and Harley looking surprised and satisfied at the same time.

She walked to the stream and looked at her reflection, it was a white fur wolf with red eyes staring at her. She smiled at herself and heard Monica's voice.

"Like what you see?"

"Oh Monica, back with your teasing. I love what I see."

Marietta shifted back to her human form and immediately ran to hug Miranda and thanked her for reuniting her with her wolf.

Laufey pack

"Is everything ready?"

"Yes, all we have to do now is go show that stupid pack what we're made of."

"Did you know that Marietta is back and is the Montgomery pack as we speak, I heard rumors about it, it's trending in the pack."

"What, I hope she was dead, and how come I didn't hear about it? Well, who thought she would run to the Montgomery pack for help or even better seduce the Alpha of their pack after being rejected by Silas." Lolla said and hugged him.

"I know, I heard she was there a week ago."

"What, and you didn't tell me?"

"It's not important, we're going there to kill her and that ungrateful bastard right, so it's not much of a problem now."

The hatred Lolla had for Marietta increased and spread like wildfire all over her, she was about to say something when a pack member knocked on the door and told them Thatcher was waiting for them so they could leave for the Montgomery pack.

In less than five minutes, they were on their way.

The Montgomery pack

"Zack, Zack."

"Calm down Liam, what's going on."

"The Laufey Alpha and some pack members are coming and they want war."

"What, how did this happen, we didn't do anything to break our contract of peace, so what do they want?"

"Why that little piece of shit and those bitches he calls mother and girlfriend, I bet it was Thalia who convinced him to do this," Lexy said, clenching her knocks tightly.

Zack rushed out of the living room and ran and Lexy and Liam followed behind. They got to the gate with some pack members after telling the weak and old wolves to go hide.

"Silas, what the fuck are you doing here?"

"Where is your weak and pathetic Alpha?" Silas asked, ignoring Zack's question.

"I'm enough to take care of you, so I'll ask again, what the fuck are you doing here and what do you want?"

"Since you want to chat, I'll tell you. Your so-called Alpha broke the contract, killed my father, made it look like an accident, and took two of my pack members hostage, my mate included."

"If I remember clearly, you rejected her a year ago so she's no longer your mate, and as for whoever the second person is, we didn't take him or her."

"Okay, if that's the case then let my pack search. And where is your Alpha, I won't ask again."

"Like I said before, I am enough to take you."

"Oh, now you wanna fight, why waste time then, let's fight.", Silas said with an evil smile and looked like he was ready to fight, but stopped. "Oh, I almost forgot, someone is here to see you."

Lexy and Zack looked confused until they saw Lolla come out from behind Silas. She had an evil smile on her face. "Hey Lex, Zack, did you miss me?"

"Don't you fucking call me that, we trusted you with Harley's heart, but you broke it and left him in pain, why? Because of it dumb monkey who only listens to mommy." Lexy said, pointing at Silas who looked like he was ready to rip Lexy apart but was stopped by Lolla.

Little did they know that the air had been poisoned with Wolfsbane immediately the Laufey pack members got out of the car and they had already taken the antidote.

Lolla distracted the Montgomery pack members by bringing up old memories so the poison could sink into the members' system well.

Lolla and Silas kept distracting them until a member of the Montgomery pack started bleeding from his nose, ears, and eyes and spat out blood. Silas and Lolla, noticing this, immediately went after Zack and Lexy, while the other members attacked each other.

"You cheaters, you can't beat us in a fair fight so if you decide to cheat, I will kill you!" Lexy yelled at Lolla who was smiling and attacking while Lexy was defending.

"Aww, it seems your precious Alpha isn't home, how disappointing, I was hoping to fight with him," Silas said throwing punches towards Zack he was skillfully avoiding them but a few landed on his face because of the wolfsbane.

"I don't see that Marietta bitch here, is she too pu**y to come face me, you know I always liked your bitchy attitude. Oh, and that reminds me, how's Beth." Lolla said, both her hands on her waist smiling at Lexy who looked like she was out of breath but gave Lolla a murderous look.

"Shut the fuck up and fight!" Lexy said and went after her at speed but slowed down after throwing a few punches and spat out blood.

"Aww, you need a little help Lexy, you look a little out of breath," Lolla said mockingly.

A guy came to Lexy but she caught him in a car window before throwing him over the gate.

Unknown to Lexy, Lolla ran behind her and hit her on the head causing her to hit her face in the car in front of her and fall.

"Why don't you just give up Zack, the wolfsbane is deep into your system and you look like you're dying."

"Hum, you are mommy's boy, I guess you believed that your dad's death was accidental," Zack said, resting on a black SUV with blood coming out from his ear.
