Confronting My Parents

I had regressed to the day I recieved my innate skill.

I now had to convince my parents of the fact that I was a child genius and that I had an Existence-level talent. And so I did. I was currently "sleeping" according to the world. But then I suddenly shifted and started to wake up. My mother also yawned and got up. She looked at me with love, and then suddenly noticed a sharp glint in my eyes. She immediately got up and jumped away from me. She spoke "Who are you and what have you done to my child?" I, using my developed mental cababilities, said "I am still your son, mother. But, it seems that I have awoken my status screen and can now think with a mental acuteness of more than an adult."

She said "Impossible! Even I, who has Supreme-Rank potential, awoke my Screen and independent thinking at the age of 2 years old! This could only mean that you have… Existence Rank Potential!"

I affirmed her claim and told her that I did indeed have that kind of potential.

I then asked her to use a basic Inspect skill on me.

She did so, and gasped.

"It is true! You are the next conqueror of the universe!"

I smiled and simply said, "Indeed I am."

She then shook awoke my father, who was sprawled on the bec, and quickly told him the news.

His face instantly turned serious.

"If this is the case, it must mean that you want to train." He said.

I straitforwardly agreed, and he told my mother to bring me to the training halls after 2 hours.

She worried at first, but then rectulantly agreed.

It was time for me to cultivate my Mana breathing art.

My mother bathed me and then dressed me up.

She then took me to the training halls. There my father was waiting for me. He told me that he would be the one to teach me the ways of getting stronger. Before that, he wanted to inspect my status screen. I felt a strange feeling was over me and suddenly a blue status window was displayed in front of us.

My father's mouth hung open in shock after witnessing my potential, my luck and my innate skill.

He then regained his senses and asked me if I had actually already lived my life two times, and I nodded in affirmation.

I then told him that I had already developed a mana breathing art in my previous life that was a hundred times better than even the family art.

He did not believe me and asked me to show him proof of my claims, which I did.

The main mana breathing system used by the general populace was to take it in through the nose and circulate it through the body, and then deposit it in the middle abdomen, thus forming a "core" of sorts. But,the fact was that once the core was destroyed, that person would have to start all over again, and would not be able to use mana properly ever again.

In my second life, I had developed a much more advanced method of circulating mana - by making new 'vessels' in my body and imbuing mana into their walls for storage. That way, the time taken to form and release a spell would be greatly reduced. Also, with my mana constantly circulating, my body would be much stronger than others.

But, there was a downside to this method. It would cause immeasurable pain. But, my mental and spirit energy prowess that I had cultivated in my last life had given me a huge resistance to pain.

I did not tell my father of this method and instead sat down on the floor, and dove into my mindscape. I could see hundreds of twinkling lights around me. I focused and tried to use my mental power to drag them all in. This was surprisingly easy, and suddenly, hundreds of particles started rushing towards me all at once. My parents were startled, but calmed down when they say that I was fine and let me do what I was doing. I then used my expert mana control to bring it in through the numerous pores in my body, thus forming mana vessels that were completely interlinked in my body.

I even felt a twinge of pain while doing this, but ignored it and continued on with the process.

This went on for two hours until I succeeded and had succesfully formed "Mana Vessels".

I excitedly opened my eyes and activated my status screen with just a thought.
