It felt like the ride had been ages, weeks at least, and not simply two days. Logically, she could think about it and pace it exactly so, without any difficulties.
It wasn't like there was any weird fae or key magic afoot, after all.
But the winding path...with all its hazards? It really made her feel like they'd be riding on the street forever and never find the city, nation, or even home.
Still...the last stretch of land beyond that town was....normal.
Uneventful.
It wasn't a snowy mountain or the looming threat of death chasing them wildly through the forest intent on doing who-knew-what when or if the orc hunting party chasing them caught them. That was something.
Nevertheless, they did finally make it to Austerland, just as Adrien predicted.
Which, in hindsight, was obvious. He'd obviously taken the trip more than enough times to generally know what was necessary.
