Adrien frowned and pinched the bridge of his nose.
His features softened and he rubbed his face as he stood there. "Kieran..."
"Hey, hey, we both knew you'd be thankful eventually." He responded with a toothy smirk. "All's well that ends well, right? Except..."
His features turned smug and he cast a look towards her. "You still haven't found that third key in this palace yet, have you?"
She glared back at him.
He didn't deserve the dignity of her words.
And also she'd say things unfit for princely ears.
"Glare all you want, it's not like I'm making the choice." Kieran shrugged.
"I'm only forwarding that the nobles are beginning to doubt your legitimacy as the Keybearer, on account of you failing utterly to do any of her duties and spending all of your time lounging with the prince like a concubine instead."
"Concu-"
"Their word, by the way." Kieran cut in. "I'd say whore."
