Her flesh burned like candle wax, fueling the fire to ignite, but this particular flame seemed to have a unique aspect; it burned her very slowly, allowing Caeli to survive longer.
BOOM!!!
The window and the wall were obliterated as the wind blew over the flame, but it still did not extinguish. From it, Malacai and Mara arrived.
"Leave us, Mara. Help Reina."
Mara looked at the situation, shook her head, and then left them alone.
Caeli turned her head to look at Malacai, her eyes flickering like someone whose wish had finally been fulfilled after a decade of prayer.
Looking deeply into her amber eyes, Malacai asked her, "Do you have the answer?"
Malacai could feel the stinging pain on his skin, but he kept walking toward her. He wasn't bothered at all, even though Caeli's body was burning with flame.
Caeli nodded, with a gaze that bordered on fanaticism, and then said, "Yes, you are my everything."
