The black flame dissipated, leaving behind a scorched ground. In the middle, the Eldritch stood without any wound. His body reverted back to its humanoid form.

But this time, it was smaller and leaner, giving him the same size as a normal human. On the other side, Aries stood up with one of his hands raised, palm facing toward the creature.

Blood came out as the arm was busted all the way to his shoulder. It was like the skin was melted, showing only its flesh and veins.

Dark energy came out like tendrils from his body, forming something that resembled a shield but filled with holes.

Behind the mask, Aries' face was grim. The suicidal attack from the Eldritch took out a lot of his energy to block; it also heavily wounded him.
