CHAPTER 34

edit,   Aurora walked out of the proprietor's office in anger, slamming the door as if she would just pull it off.

  "You are allowed to join the other students for training immediately, Amaya," The proprietor declared, causing an elated buzz in my system.

  "Thank you, Alpha!" I responded, and he dismissed me. I walked outside with Alpha Dax. But then, I didn't know why I was having this negative feeling about it. Though I felt applauded and appreciated by his words, there was this void in me I could not explain.

  I and Dax started jesting. He was telling me about his school, and how many she-wolves had broken his heart. He also told me about how he had been the top figure in sports ever since he won for his school. As we talked, we walked towards the secluded yard of the school.

  "So, you're the unexpected hero," Dax remarked and added.

  "Quite a show back there," he sighed.

  I smirked, my earlier nervousness quenching, and responded.
