Chapter 99

  Jeremy stepped forward to face the proprietor. It was decided that he would be the first to challenge the man to avenge the death of his parents. I stood a few steps behind, my heart pounding in my chest, ready to step in if necessary.

  "Proprietor, your days of inflicting pain on innocent students and their families are over," Jeremy declared, his voice firm and unwavering.

  The proprietor sneered, standing tall and confident. "And who do you think you are, little boy? Another rebel trying to bring me down? It's a pity. You won't last a minute against me."

  Without warning, the proprietor lunged forward, landing a powerful blow to Jeremy's gut. Jeremy stumbled backward, clutching his stomach in pain. The shock of seeing him so vulnerable fueled the pain within me. It was time for me to act.
