Fifty-one

After the principal's speech announcing the start of the tournament tomorrow, Lydia and I were on our way to our room.

We arrive first next to Lydia's room, and she looked really happy after the evening. She smiled at me with her bright blue eyes and hugged me tightly.

"Thank you for walking me home and thanks to you I've had a wonderful day," said Lydia as she gave me a kiss on the cheek and then blushed.

"See you tomorrow," she said before running off to her room and closing the door very quickly.

I couldn't help laughing, what she'd just done was simply adorable, but I'd better not let my guard down, I certainly don't intend to fall in love just yet, especially with the person Zara doesn't want me to get close to.

I sighed and headed for my room, changing straight into simple clothes before throwing myself onto the bed. I was exhausted, but first I had to drink some blood. I hadn't fed since yesterday, and I felt a slight thirst in my throat.
