The early morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting soft golden rays across the room. I lay there, still as a stone, listening to the gentle rhythm of Elara's breathing beside me.

She stirred slightly, her golden hair spilling over the pillow as her eyes fluttered open. When her gaze found mine, a smile bloomed on her face—warm, soft, and entirely unguarded.
