This Is A Highschool?!

After closing the white book since it felt weird watching my thoughts be written down, I looked around the classroom I was in, and wondered if this was really the high school where most of the events in the story would take place. And where I would meet most of the demi-girls with powerful bloodlines, I needed to help out.

After looking at how fancy the classroom was, and seeing the beautiful surroundings outside, which looked like a well-maintained park with tall trees, flower gardens, artificially formed ponds, and so much more that added to its beauty, I doubted if I was really in a high school, but rather a Eurpean-style mansion from the 18th century, surrounded by stunning gardens.

But after remembering that the school the protagonist in the guide was transported to, looked the exact same as I described, I didn't doubt it anymore, and accepted that I was a student of this school; that was on a level you'd never see back on Earth.

Eden Higher Secondary School.

That was the name of the school I was enrolled in this world, as a second-year high school student. And the school which made me wonder if it really was a school, because of how high-class and fancy it looked.

From my understanding, Eden High School is located in one of the most prosperous places in Eden, and is considered to be the best high school in not only the capital of Eden. But the entire continent itself.

It was the dream school of every middle schooler in their third year, who was studying to write their entrance exams next year, due to its prestigious name; and high standing reputation, of the being the best in terms of education, infrastructure, extra-curricular activities, events, and all the other things one would want in their ideal school, among all the other schools.

It was established more than two centuries back, by the United Alliance, which is a union created 500 years ago by the leaders of each race.

The United Alliance was similar to a parliament where each race would send their representatives to the council, where they would discuss measures and rules to implement for the betterment of the continent and its people.

To this day, it is where most of the decisions that change the trend of the continent take place, and is the most powerful political system established, aside from other small state and district-level systems.

The United Alliance established the school, with the goal of giving the most talented and hardworking students of the continent an institution with the best facilities available; to allow the students to nurture their abilities and assist them in achieving their goals, which would benefit the continent as a whole.

The school showed obvious results, as after its establishment, 99% of the students who graduated from that high school were in high positions in society, ranging from scientists who created life-saving medicines to entrepreneurs who made massive conglomerates, that revolutionised the market and trade industry.

The school also created several high-ranking officials, lawyers, doctors, actors, singers, and several other people with positions, that many would dream of achieving one day.

It was similar to the stairs of heaven, as once you took the first step, you'd be able to reach unimaginable places in your life.

But this success the graduates received, isn't just because of the school's name and reputation.

And it mostly stems from the students own abilities, as the school constantly forces the students to excel in what they are good in, and go beyond. It didn't simply allow the students to remain idle after entering, and made them work for their future, through the different methods the school honed to create elites of society, who were destined to make a positive change in the world, be it big or small.

The school also believed in the principle of not only rewarding talented people, who born with great abilities. But also nurturing people who were willing to work hard, to achieve their dreams and succeed in life.

Because of this, the school became a place that only the most talented or hardworking individuals could enter, by using intense screening procedures for applicants, who wanted to enter the school.

The selection committee would go through each applicant's resume thoroughly, and even go as far as to visit the applicant's house to learn more about them if needed.

Because of this strict application procedure, it wasn't a place where the rich and powerful could send in their children using bribes and connections. And it was a place that gave equal opportunities to anyone who wanted to do great things in their lives, whether they came from the poorest of slums or from a family that had a history of illiteracy.

It was truly the ideal school for one to grow, and nurture their abilities for the future.

The school itself was constructed on a small mountain with forests and small valleys on top, in the central area of Eden.

It was constructed on top of a mountain to give the students an environment where they wouldn't feel too stressed, and would be able to relax and take in the surroundings if they ever felt burdened or pressured.

And what other better place was there to feel more relaxed, than a place on top of a mountain away from the hectic city below, that was surrounded by nature all time of the year.

The mountain the school was constructed on, was the only decently sized mountain in the area, as the area around the flat-topped mountain, had already been turned into a massive city with towering skyscrapers, office buildings, apartments, supermarkets, and the rest of the structures you would find in a metropolitan city.

It was similar to how in Tokyo, office buildings in the city were built around shrines and temples, so as not to lose their heritage.

Only in this case, there was a small mountain covered in trees, with a single school on top in the middle of the city, instead a small little shrine like in Japan.

Like I mentioned before, the area the school was built on, was full of forests and greenery, like a wildlife park with abundant flora and fauna. It had streams of water that flowed down the mountain, small ponds full of aquatic life, luscious trees, beautiful patches of flowers, small hills and valleys, and decent-sized cliffs all over the place.

The top of the mountain, which was mostly flat aside from a few hills and cliffs, was a green wonderland, that would have people who enjoyed nature and hiking, frothing at their mouths.

And the best part was that most of the mountaintop was accessible to the students, as paths and canals were built all over the mountain for the students to travel through.

By following one path, you could go to a small lake and go fishing. And by following another path, you can be in a forest full of tall trees and flowers, so the students could have a great time without even leaving the mountain.

The mountain was also regularly maintained, so that it would be safe for the students to move around , and it was modified in such a way that everything looked pleasing to the eye.
