"Hey Lucille, didn't you tell me that you didn't know who Astrid was when I asked you earlier? Why do you seem to know so much about her now?" I went to Lucille's side and whispered.
"I never said I don't know her. I just said that I wasn't familiar enough with her to answer your questions about her," she said as she eyed up Astrid's chest like she did when she met her earlier.
Even though Lucille didn't seem to be intimidated by Astrid's presence like Astrid was, she still felt pressured by Astrid's ginormous breasts and kept shamelessly glancing at them, while at the same time losing confidence in her own chest, which was actually quite well-proportioned and perfect for a girl her age and race.
"And as a member of the disciplinary committee, I have to keep my eye on several talents in this school who particularly stand out, so naturally, I knew Miss Astrid's name, who's not only popular for her brains but also her beauty throughout the school."
Oh. So Astrid is also quite popular, just like Lucille in the school.
Well, it's not surprising considering her outstanding achievements and an even more outstanding figure.
"So I'm guessing Miss Astrid and Luca are long-time acquaintances?" Lucille broke the ice and asked Astrid in a calm and composed manner with a small smile on her face.
"Why would you say that?"
Astrid coolly asked back with a neutral expression on her face, unlike how vibrant she was before, keeping up her image as a level-headed scholar.
"It's simply because you don't normally see people who've just met each other hug each other so intimately like you both were doing."
"That is unless they've known each other for a while."
Lucille went straight to the point, which was very unprincess-like of her since people of high positions always like to talk about matters indirectly and always go around them and drag it out.
Lucille didn't seem to ask that question with any ill intention in mind and looked like she was genuinely curious about how Astrid and I looked so close when I said that I didn't know Astrid earlier.
"Then I'm guessing Miss Lucille and Luca have known each other for a while too," Astrid replied.
"Why would you say that, Miss Astrid?"
"Because you too were just hugging Luca quite intimately in front of all these students, so I just assumed you two have known each other for a while, like you said earlier."
Astrid used the same point Lucille used and stunlocked Lucille in place for a second.
Lucille then gave a little chuckle as she looked up at Astrid and said,
"Well, unlike what you've guessed, me and Luca only properly met this morning, just before you called him away."
"What a coincidence... That's also when I first met Luca. So we can consider ourselves to be in the same boat."
Astrid gave a light smile, as if she found it funny. To which Lucille also responded with a smile of her own.
They then turned their heads simultaneously with solemn looks on their faces as if they wanted to know how we got close to one another when we just met.
"Ahem. It's all my charm, like I said before. Ladies just can't resist me."
I didn't back down in front of their stares and shamelessly boasted.
"Damn pervert."
"Smelly hooligan."
Lucille and Astrid scolded me at the same time.
Even though both of them were intimidated by one another for two different reasons, they seemed to agree with one another when they looked at each other with knowing gazes.
"Well, leaving how we all met aside for a moment, we should probably ask Lucille if she can watch our performance."
"Right Astrid?"
I nudged Astrid's shoulder, which made her nod her head and agree with what I said.
"You want me to watch a performance of yours?"
Lucille looked at us with a peculiar look, wondering how we were already doing performances when we just met an hour ago. But didn't want to dwell too deep into it as she wasn't too familiar with Astrid.
"Is it some kind of skit or two-person comedy that you're going to perform?"
"No, it's a magic show where I'm the magician who does the magic and Astrid is my assistant who'll help me out," I replied.
"Shouldn't I be the magician since I'm the one doing the most work?"
Astrid's competitive spirit kicked in at the wrong moment, as she demanded the position of head magician to be given to her.
"Then are you willing to coordinate the performance in such a way that Lucille doesn't find out how the 'trick' works?" I said not willing to give up my position.
Astrid blushed thinking about what would happen if we were exposed and didn't say anything back in return.
"What trick are you guys talking about?"
Lucille asked, looking a little excited even though she tried to hide it under her composed persona, when I mentioned a magic trick.
"It's a trick that only me and Astrid can perform, which you've never seen before," I said truthfully which only made Astrid blush even more, which was going against the scholar character she was acting out.
"But it's a little too crowded around here to perform the trick. So let's go over to that corner and I'll show you the trick if you're willing to see it."
I said after seeing that an actual crowd of students had formed around us who were muttering and looking at us like they were watching some drama.
I guess hugging a princess and an award-winning scientist at the same time is bound to attract some attention as I could feel certain gazes that felt like they could kill.
"Let's do that."
"Sure."
Both of them agreed and all of us walked past the crowd and through the corridor, until we reached a narrow passageway to a bathroom that wasn't in use which had no one nearby.
"The trick is actually very basic and isn't too flashy, so I hope you don't get your expectations up since we just started our careers as magicians," I informed after telling Astrid what to do for the trick.
"Was this trick created by you or Miss Astrid?" Lucille looked at the two of us.
"It was created by me," I proudly said.
"Then I never had any expectations for it and wouldn't be surprised if it crashes and burns," she crushed my pride with a few words.
"Well whether it soars high in the sky or crashes and burns to the sky will mostly depend on you, Astrid. So I hope you don't mess it up for your sake," I whispered to Astrid and made sure she understood what would happen if she messed it up.
"How long are you two going to be whispering? It isn't very professional of you to keep the only member of your audience waiting," Lucille complained.
"I apologize for making you wait, my lady."
"And I am also elated to announce the start of the Astrid and Luca Magic Duo where we're starting off our magic journey with a bang with an original magic trick that we made on our own."
Clap~ Clap~ Clap~
I had to clap on my own and liven things up as if it was a real show since we didn't have any actual audience. And the only person who was watching our show stood there with her hands folded, sharply staring at us, as if she was determined to find out how the trick worked and expose us to ruin the show.
Rather than wanting to enjoy the show, Lucille looked more excited and determined to find out the crux of the magic by watching our every movement carefully.
This only put more pressure on Astrid, who was sweating bullets from the back, even though her face was calm as ever.
"Ladies and gentlemen, to start our trick off I would like to ask a single member of the audience to come on stage and help us out," I announced as if I were in an actual magic show.
Lucille immediately raised her hand and looked around, just in case anyone else was putting her hand up when there were only three people here.
I'm pretty sure that if there was anyone else here that raised her hand and got selected, she'd probably deport them to another state by using her power since she looked really eager to get a close look at the magic we were performing and expose us no matter what.
"The gorgeous lady in the front with golden hair who's raising her hand. Can you please assist us with our trick?"
I went forward and held out my hand to Lucille like a gentleman.
"I would love to..."
Lucille said with a smile and held onto my hand, allowing me to walk her right next to Astrid who was standing still, probably mentally practicing what she was going to do so that she doesn't screw up.
"Would I be able to have the honor of getting your name, my lady?" I said while curtsying to her while holding her hand, as if I already didn't know her name.
"Lucille Florence."
Lucille went along with my play and gave a bow back in return with a small smile on her face.
"Lucille Florence. A graceful name that befits a lady of your stature."
I bent down and gave the top of her hand a kiss and let her hand go which made Lucille's cheeks faintly flush, which was probably not an act.
"Well then, Miss Lucille. I'm pretty sure that you have many doubts about our performance and are even suspecting that we have many tricks up our sleeves to accomplish our act."
"So to clear all those needless suspicions and prove that it's truly magic, I would like to request you check my assistant Astrid, to see if there's anything off or suspicious on her figure that could help with our trick." I gestured my hands towards Astrid, who seemed to have finally calmed down a bit and was staring at us expressionlessly.
"You want me to check her? As in check her body for anything strange like a security would?" Lucille looked at me in surprise, not expecting me to ask her to do such a thing.
"Yes. But you're only going to be checking for any gadgets or nicknacks that can assist us in our trick. And not for any guns or knives like security officers would normally search for." I gestured for her to start searching.
"But is your assistant really fine with me searching her?" Lucille asked as she eyed up Astrid's absurd body, still a little intimidated by her tall figure.
"Of course. She's already agreed to it, so you can go ahead and check her however you want."
After getting the go-ahead sign, Lucille looked at Astrid's body from top to bottom, while Astrid coolly stood there as if it had nothing to do with her.
Lucille didn't seem to know where to start her check and looked a little flustered about how to begin.
"So I can just touch her body wherever I want?" Lucille asked while eyeing Astrid's chest.
"I asked you to check her, not feel her up. Why do you have to make it sound so inappropriate?" I said dryly.
Lucille glared at me for my statement.
She then looked at Astrid as if she was saying 'excuse me' and then placed her hands on her shoulders and slowly started patting down her arms all the way to her wrists.
