But in essence, all he ever needed was a place he could call home and when his life flashed before his eyes and he awakened his memories, he embarked on that path.

The sound of the door locking echoed out, followed by the AI's resounding voice:

"Door has been shut. Grade A defense protocol has been initiated. Request accepted. Your room is safe from all sorts of infiltration and can only be opened by you or the higher-ups of the institute."

"Nice," Khan mused to himself before walking toward the elevator at the far side of the narrow hall.

DING. The elevator opened up as he made his way into it, clicking the number 0 on the side button, causing the elevator's door to close once more as he was immediately sent swiftly down the floors with speed, even though there was no anomaly in the elevator.
