Chapter 2: My Fate Eternal?

I set my eyes on the surroundings, seeing a pretty woman who looked like she was in her twenties, the source of the lullaby was from her.

I scanned my eyes yet again, a lavish room entered my eyes, gold colored and velvet clad, this room…

Huh? Was I not dead? Yet?

Confusion had enveloped me.

My hands. So tiny? I put my hands on my face, barely able to make it. It was soft and delicate, puffy and spongy, quite squishy too.

Am I a baby?! Have I not died yet?

Wait…..

Could it be…

I reincarnated?

Checking my surroundings once again and seeing the size of my body.

Yep that is it.

I confirmed my thoughts. I was pretty much accepting the whole fact of my reincarnation.

After all, it was still better than the agonizing treatments of Cancer.

I shrugged, accepting the fate before me. In this current moment of rebirth, it was a welcome departure from the relentless agony of bone cancer.

I tried speaking a few words. But all that came out was "Goo goo ga ga?" Ah! For a split second, I forgot I was still a baby.

But, the feeling of being a baby was not bad at all?

"Oh my Lumea, you are so cute!" The woman spoke, affection evident in her eyes. Her green eyes that resembled emeralds shone with love. A beauty mark under her left eye and she wore a warm smile.

Her long wisteria hair reached her back.

I registered her as my mother. But Lumea?

That name...

Wasn't it the original name of Servus Aterni?

Wait no, it could have just been a coincidence.

The evident sense of déjà vu lingered.

It must not be…..

It better not be….

I was lost in thought before a voice came barging in, crashing my train of thoughts.

"Ludi! I am back!!" A deep yet enthusiastic voice sounded passionate and loving, the kind of tone I only heard from the parents of others, it came from the voice of a man who had golden yellow hair and blue eyes that were like the ocean.

He was handsome, even with the scar under his right eye, he was still very handsome.

But…

Ludi?

That Ludi Caelesti?

The mother of Servus, Ludi Caelesti?

Then that man….

Could he be the King Of The Battlefield and father of Servus, Lucen Aterni?!

No no no!

This family is heading off to a tragic end!

This family is going to die, so am I going to get kidnapped!!!

Calm down, calm down….

I desperately tried to calm myself down.

After a couple of serious deep breaths, I successfully calmed down my anxious feelings.

I started recalling the setting of his tragic past.

In the story, the tragedy does not happen until he reaches ten years old.

Originally, Servus was born in the duke household which held undeniable power.

His father and mother were both high ranking nobles that were very close to the royal family.

The Noble Aterni Family.

In the story, Servus was even engaged with the princess of the empire, Luna Raidiantes.

But his carefree life would soon transform into a tragedy.

When his family was caught in an evil scheme from the organization Umbra Machina, which would result in his mothers and fathers death and his kidnap.

As the two exchanged their conservation and indulged in an air of love and care, I desperately tried to conjure a plan.

I must protect myself, I did not want tragedy to replay again.

A caring, soft voice snapped me back to reality, "Lumea is as cute as ever, isn't he?"

He said, wearing the warmest I have ever seen. Those smiles, only reserved for the children who were loved.

It was what I never had, it was something I could only see from the other kids, one of the few simple desires I yearned for.

The only happy part of Servus's story, or should I say, Lumea now.

It was although unfamiliar, undeniably the familial love I never felt in my past life.

Perhaps, the story may not be a tragedy after all.

I will strive to make the story a happy one.

At all costs.

A happy story, not just for Richard, but also the extras.

My tale has begun, starting as the tragic extra.

A story of Redemption and fate had started.
