Chapter 7

Zoya pov:

I'm currently sitting on the passenger seat looking outside.

Conner offered me a ride to my home.

"Do you even remember where i live" i asked him still looking outside.

I know he's going in the right direction but i can't face this awkward silence.

"How can i forget it? I remember it since the day you told me" he replied focusing on the road.

"And when did I tell you my address"

"When we were at a party with our team sponsors and teammates. You can't find a cab and i offer you a ride to your home that's when you told me your address" he smiled as if he remembered something.

I was shocked that he remembered that day.

I was standing outside the club waiting for my cab.

I was wearing a satin gown which hugged my body showing every curve.

As i was standing outside the club some creep man looked at me up and down making me feel uncomfortable.

Scared by them i turned around to go inside the club again i bumped into something hard.

The person hold my hand to keep me steady.

I looked up to find Conner staring at me.

I looked over my shoulder to see the men still standing there. Conner followed my gaze looking at the man.

His jaw ticked before he yells "Run before i catch you and beat the shit out of you to eyed her like that"

The man ran away.

Conner eyes soften and he left my hand "Are you okay?"

I nod.

"What are you doing here in the middle of night?" He narrowed his eyes towards me.

"I was waiting for my cab" i looked at my phone to see the rider has cancel the ride i cursed under my breath.

"What happened?" He asked scanning my face.

"The cab is not coming. I guess I've to take a bus"

"Are you serious? You are going to take a bus in this dress" he points towards my cleavage and i suddenly hide it with my small hands.

I'm so small but my boobs are bigger than my palms.

He removed his coat putting it around my shoulder.

I smelled his smell mint and wood.

So intoxicating.

"I'll drop you home." He blunt out "tell me your address. You are not going alone"

I looked at him shocked.

"It's my duty to help you like the way you help me, Zoya. Don't be mad and sit in the car"

I sit in his car and told him my address.

He easily find my address.

Stopping his car in front of my house.

I opened the door and returned his coat suddenly loosing the warmth.

"Thank you for the ride" i smiled at him.

"My pleasure"

I turned around immediately cause i can't look at him more. He look so gorgeous in the moonlight like he's lightning the whole city with his light.

I unlock my house door seeing him still waiting in his car.

I closed the door walking upstairs to my room.

I opened the window to saw him leaving.

Realization hit me he was waiting for me to go inside my house then he left.

I smiled like an idiot the way he care about me.

After that day he always makes sure that I have someone to drop me off my home after the parties.

The car stops at my house.

I looked outside to see my mom looking at us both inside the car.

I quickly unlocks the door greeting her.

"Hello Mom" i hug her.

She hugged me back. After breaking the hug she looked at Conner who is still sitting inside the car looking at us.

"Zo, he is Conner Slade the captain of our Cricket Team." She asked me looking shocked.

I nods my head.

Conner steps out of the car.

He greets my mom "Hello, I'm Conner Slade"

My mom smiled at him "i know you. It's so good to see your in person. You look more handsome in person"

Conner blushes "Thank You"

"I still can't believe Zo worked with you" she shakes her head "Come inside please, get Zo dad also he is your big fan"

Conner looked at me as if he is asking my permission i nods slowly.

"Sure why not i would love to" he said and we all walked inside the house.

Mom makes Conner sits in the living room.

My dad arrives after a few minutes.

"Honey see Conner Slade our Cricket Team captain is here" my mom whispers to dad.

Conner stands up extending his hand towards my dad "Mr. Mark I'm Conner Slade it's really nice to meet you" Conner bows towards my dad.

My eye brows furrowed Is he trying to impress him?

My dad shakes his hand smiling at him "Are you her boyfriend?" He suddenly asked.

I coughed loudly.

Conner smirks looking at me.

What the heck.

"No Dad he's my boss" i speaks feeling embarrassed by how my dad directly asked him this question.

Conner smirks widen.

This idiot is enjoying all of this.
