"why can't I ever get rid of this guy...?"
Gen Reno felt somewhat irritated.
He and Lucian both were from the same village and he thought that he would suppress Lucian forever by becoming a disciple of the Starlight clan. The thing that made him even more fustrated was that Lucian is a Earth domain warrior.
On the battlefield stood sixteen arenas. Each one was about a hundred square meters and was made out of solid green iron. Even warriors in the master domain wouldn't be able to break it using all their strength.
Around this sixteen battle arenas stood six tall stone towers.
One of the stone towers was fifty meters tall, while the other five were forty meter tall. These five towers were equally spaced a hundred meters apart in distance, and on these tower stood the people from different villages who were able to view all sixteen arenas below.
On one of the stone towers, Drew stood next to the pun family head, condescendingly looking down upon all the contestant around the battlefield who came to compete in the True champion competition.
This forty meter tall stone tower belonged to the choram village.
The other four were for the Nyorea village, Brighten stone village,ki village and shet village. The stone towers belonging to the Nyorea, Brighten stone,ki, and Shet villages were also forty meters tall, just like choram village. However, the central was an exception. Their tower was fifty meter high,a way lot taller than the other five village stone towers.
Just from the height of the stone towers, it could be seen that the Ketan Central held an absolute strong position in the city!
This way the first day of the True champion competition.
The participants were on their village stone tower by this time.
The Tan brothers, Tan ki and Tan fan were also on their stone tower, plus a few other strangers that Lucian did not know. Through Cleavon's introduction, Lucian learned that about the families and characteristics of his, maybe, opponents.
They usually worked in the central division but were called here because of the True champion tournament.
Every year's True champion competition is separated into six categories:- the First thirty-two, top sixteen, top eight, top four, top two, and then finally the championship match.
Usually Earth domain warriors at the third level or above don't compete,they would have certainly gained their own cultivation opportunities. It was unlikely for them to covet the prizes given by the city Lord.
An Earth domain warrior in the village or Central would be considered a master (Honorable, not that of the cultivation base).
Such warriors wouldn't need to compete in the True champion competition to obtain a nice cultivation environment. They can just go to any powerful family or force and enjoy a good position.
Even if an Earth domain warrior didn't join any power, the major force or clan would still reach out to their any hoping to recruit the warrior.
Because of this, even though the True champion competition set a competitive category for Earth domain warriors, but the warriors that came to participate, were nearly non-existent.
The one who really came for the tournament were mostly vischaunt and newly Earth domain warriors.
These kind of warriors with lower capabilities were the majority, as they often couldn't find their own cultivation opportunities.
The True champion competition usually lasted for five days.
The first four days were generally for the warriors who came for the prizes. These people would be watched by the Central officials. Throughout the four days the officials would reach out to the outstanding warriors. The last day, however, would be highlight of the martial competition.
On this day, the five villages and Central would send their best dedicated warriors and descendants to go and compete with the masters of the other villages. The five villages would test each other power on the last of the competition.
This day was also the day when the five villages would show their strength to others!

It was late afternoon before we discovered why the city Lord advisor's is on a different tower. He was clearly looking for traces of certain aura.
"We'd better do something, yucho!" Jess shouted over the scream of lightning.
"I'm working on it,"I told her, but try as I might, I couldn't come up with a thing.
Jess was already ahead of me, though,"we've got a certain aura he hold, still, right here, yucho,"she said,"what does that suggest to you.....?"
