97. Painful reality

Mei Lin's healing ability was heavily supported by dissolving pills, but even with that natural energy inside the cultivation sea was quickly gone she didn't achieve nearly anything as she hoped to accomplish. Mei Lin quickly lost perception of time and continued to close the missing space after left hand in an ending cycle of replenishing her natural energy and using it to regrow the missing flesh on her shoulder.

This process was very slow, and Mei Lin wasted even more time transferring her natural energy from the cultivation sea to the wound. She discovered that she could not split her attention between absorbing natural energy and healing her wound at the same time.

It took a whole day of never-ending replenishing and depleting her cultivation sea when Mei Lin felt something strange happen in her cultivation. She was very closely observing her cultivation, and after slowly examining everything and going through the process of healing once more, she found out what happened. Her reserves of natural energy were just slightly higher than before she entered the cultivation state to heal.

Mei Lin was happy to discover such a strange change in her cultivation, but her wound on the shoulder wasn't even close to being healed, so she wasn't in shape to stop in her afford. After making non-significant progress, she once again starts condensing depleted natural energy from the cultivation sea. Just before she submerged herself in another cycle, she started thinking about what to do.

'Once I heal enough to stop blood, I will leave and go find another and then we will leave this place. They are waiting for me, so I need to be fast.'

With new confidence, Mei Lin started thinking about ways, how to speed up her healing process. Her only luck was that she already unlocked her cultivation sea and had a way to manipulate with natural energy. Her only goal was to be able to split her mind in two, to be able to speed up the process of refining natural energy and at the same time heal herself.

After not long time thinking, Mei Lin starts slowly absorbing natural energy from the blood she drank and out of four healing pills. It did not take too long, and Mei Lin condensed nearly half of her maximum capacity of natural energy, which she could absorb.

After starting another round of collecting her natural energy Mei Lin started healing the flesh around the missing arm to help flesh to grow and close the wound. For the first time, it was quite ineffective, because Mei Lin lost control over the process and couldn't do both things at once. It took her more than training for nearly two more days, Mei Lin grasped the basic understanding of this process.

She wanted to investigate this process in the cultivation book, but just before she was ready to regain her body back an opened storage ring, Mei Lin stopped. The wound was created after my left missing hand was still too big. Mei Lin slowly continued to condense natural energy and transfer it, to heal the injury.

After two more days, all blood and healing pills were completely exhausted and the wound on the missing shoulder was still not closed yet, but the seriousness of the injury was still too much. It took another four days of healing to at least close the wound, thanks to spending the power of healing pills and with that Mei Lin was left collecting natural energy from the air around her. After stitching up the wound to the point that she stopped the blood from flowing out, she left her cultivation seat, and her mind went back to her body.

Just as she started occupying her body again, she discovered that something was wrong. Mei Lin had done this process a few times before, but after more than seven days of not being in her own body, she couldn't go back.

'Something is wrong. Why can't I go back? Why can't I go back like before.' Mei Lin started to panic and didn't know what to do. She tried to calm down, but she couldn't. Immediately after, her mind entered back into her body and started to invade her body. Once she started to pour back blood into her body, it did not go well, unlike natural energy, which Mei Lin poured into the shoulder her blood was stopped by her dry body, and didn't let it flow through the veins.

She felt pain everywhere, and she tried to get her blood from cultivation sea. It took more than a day of excruciating pain until she filled her body with blood and regained her body. Once her blood flowed inside her eyes she couldn't stop crying. Unfortunately, she was crying blood instead of tears, so even this little blood loss made Mei Lin even more painful. It was a very bad experience, which imprinted deep into Mei Lin's mind.

After the pain from blood ripping through the mummified body vent off, the only pain she felt was from her missing left hand. Immediately after, she tried to get up and get out of there, but once she tried to get up, her sight went black, and she fell unconscious. It took nearly two days for Mei Lin to wake up.

She was exhausted and couldn't move at all. Her body was completely exhausted and couldn't move at all. Mei Lin started to cry once again. This time it was because she was happy, that she took care of her missing hand and even made progress in her cultivation. After she sat up, she felt extreme pain from the missing arm and every vein in her body, as she was breaking through everything with her blood.

Jar buried itself into muddy soaked ground and spirit fruit stayed in her hand. A smile appeared on Mei Lin's face as she started eating the spirit fruit and looked around herself to see where she was.

The entrance to the cellar was very dark because the rubble covering the entrance was very thick and blocked nearly all the light. Unfortunately, it didn't manage to block entering the water and the walls along with the ground were slimy and wet. If Mei Lin was a normal non-cultivator, she would probably catch a fever from the cold water in which she was for the last seven days.

After eating spirit fruit, she drank nearly half a liter of blood and placed it back into the storage ring. After calming down, she immediately inspected her left shoulder. Once she touched the deformed shoulder, she still felt like her hand was still there, but it wasn't. Mei Lin was shocked that her sleeve was still there but her hand was not.
