Bell smiled gently. "Alright, let's not talk about this now. Hurry and eat. After the meal, I'll see you off."

Alex didn't refuse Bell's hospitality and began to eat slowly. He knew very well that he couldn't always protect Bell, so the sooner they parted ways, the better it would be for both of them.

Soon, they finished their meals. After eating and drinking his fill, Alex patted his stomach and looked at Bell. "Bell, I'll carry you up."

"No need!" Bell shook her head slightly. "I can walk by myself." She twisted her neck to show she wasn't hurt.

"Be careful!" Seeing this, Alex didn't insist and just reached out to support Bell's arm.

Bell didn't resist. Her delicate face remained calm, as if nothing could stir her inner peace.

"Whooo—" Just as Alex was helping Bell into the car, a sharp whistle suddenly sounded from the convoy.
