"I am glad you told me the truth," Cynthia told Thomas finally, then made her way out of the apartment. She had to go to work despite everything.
Thomas sat on his bed, knowing things were complicated, but he just couldn't stop now. So he jumped off his bed to chase after her. "Cynthia, I know this is wrong, and it is your decision, but can you give me one reason to leave so that the guilt would not completely eat me up." He said from behind when she was about to leave through the door.
Cynthia turned and smiled at him. "The same way you had no choice is the same for me, and besides, I don't love you anymore, so nothing is holding me back. You are a smart person, Thomas. I hope you fall in love again and make your family happy." She answered and then left the apartment. This time, Thomas didn't bother to stop her because he knew it was truly over.
