Jayden's hand on Venessa's shoulder tightened; he could feel her tension, but she didn't have to be scared. There was nothing that might happen here today that would change any of his decisions.
This was to make things official, so it didn't matter whatever games his mother was about to play. Venessa placed her hand over his hand. She understood what he meant.
She tried to move her eyes away from Yuliya, who was heading down in her direction. The clicking sounds got closer and then stopped.
"Alessandro," Venessa heard a pitchy female voice call out to Jayden, and she could not help but scrunch up her face. What was it with girls always being around him? It was getting annoying now.
"Yuliya," Jayden replied out of courtesy. He didn't need too much drama. Yuliya pressed her lips together and she could sense the mood that he had no intentions of talking to her. She ignored Venessa's existence.
