Chapter 3 - The hokage

it is a cold afternoon in konoha,it had rained today and jaiden had been under it.today also makes it the second day since jaiden has been kicked out of the orphanage,and jaiden has been crying all through the night prior to this day.

being cold from the downpour,he runs from house to house,building to building trying to get warmth,but due to the loathing of villagers,he was being chased away by any adult he tries to talk to,but there was one adult that lost it only by seeing him.

when jaiden asks shivering ''s-s-sir can i g-g-g-get s-some warmth in your shop please?'',the man seeing him snaps,''YOU,YOU ARE THE KID THAT CAME WITH THAT DEMON,BECAUSE OF YOU,THAT DEMON KILLED MY ONLY SON,MY ONLY CHILD,I'M SURE YOU CAME TO STEAL FROM ME,I'LL MAKE SURE YOU NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY EVER AGAIN,COME HERE!!"

jaiden immediately runs after the man grabs a rolling pin(forgot to mention the man was a baker),as jaiden run through a nearby shopping district,people look his way wondering what he was running from(not like they care) as the boy runs into an open part of town.the baker,while passing through the district,the man yells ''CATCH THAT THIEF,HE TRIED TO STEAL FROM ME'' a handful of villagers didn't need to think twice before chasing the boy as well

Today's rain was one to ruin moods,but that didn't stop the third from taking a walk.sitting in that office all day couldn't be good for a man his age,day after day of paperwork,stressful meeting with clan heads and village elders and not to talk about managing village assets and finances,so much math,maybe his grandson was right, he was too old.sometimes he wishes that he chose a successor,so he can retire and probably keep an eye on a certain troublesome boy.

as jaiden runs,with tears blurring his vision,he bumps into a white clothing,he quickly apologizes and continues to run,the hokage wonders 'what could be chasing him?',his question was answered when a large group of people lead by a presumed baker holding a rolling pin above his head came in view.the chasing villagers immediately came to a stop when the hokage was seen up ahead.they greets him as the hokage responds with a nod and immediately asks ''what are you people running for?'',the angry looking baker says ''we're looking for that kid,the kid that came came along with that demon'',the hokage asks curiously ''what did he do?'',''he tried to steal from me'' the baker says ''and i am going to make him pay'',some people in the crowd following the man chasing the boy says ''YEAH!/HE'S GONNA PAY!/HE DESERVES TO BE PUNISHED MERCILESSLY!/HAS ANYONE SEEN MY NUTS ?''.the hokage's face showing no expression tells the villagers '' don't worry, I will settle this matter myself,just keep going on with what you were doing today'',the baker wanted to object,but bows and walks away grumbling,making the rest of the handful of villagers that were with him to part ways.

the hokage sighs,so much for a relaxing walk.he had to see how the boy was feeling,because being chased by people that size in groups could be traumatizing for a boy his age.walking back to his office,thinking of sending a certain masked ninja to bring the boy,he was cut short in his thinking when he sees jaiden crying in an alley near a trash bin.the hokage walks over to the boy with a smile on his face.''hey there ''the hokage says "whats wrong,why are you crying?'',obviously already knowing the reason but still asks.

The boy looks up and sniffs his nose,his vision blurry because of his tears and sees a familiar white robe,he quickly remembers the white robe he bumped into when running and stands up apologizing and pleading "I am sorry for bumping into you like that,please don't hurt me".after that the old man smiles and tells the boy to follow him.

jaiden wipes his tears and reluctantly follows the man,because he fears he will be punished.beng shaken,jaiden asks "where are we going?",the man replies "to the hokage tower".at that moment, jaiden heart felt like flying out of his stomach and a visible look of fear on his face shows it.the hokage seeing his expression,the man chuckles and says "don't worry,you're not in trouble".jaiden immediately relaxes at the words the man just said,and after a minute of walking in silence,the hokage asks "whats your name kid?",jaiden replies "my name is jaiden,whats yours sir?". the man says "my name is hiruzen sarutobi,also known as-",jaiden interrupts with a voice of astonishment "the third hokage", the old man chuckles a bit and looks up saying "we're here".jaiden looks up at the tower and says "wow,it's big",the old man chuckles and says "come on,lets go in".

after climbing up the stairs,and going through a hallway,they both stop at a door which the old man opens.entering inside jaiden sees a bookshelf,a sitting chair at the side of the room,a desk with a lot of scrolls and books.

'scrolls,books,hat stands...,I thought the hokage life was filled with action',the old man slowly seats in a chair behind the desk and gestures jaiden to seat by showing him to a chair at the side of the room,as jaiden seats,the old man reaches for something behind his desk and suddenly chucks it at jaiden, saying "think fast",making jaiden juggling it up in the air clumsily before catching it.looking at the object,he sees it is a medium sized snack bar,then he quickly says "thank you sir,but its yours,you should eat it",the hokage quickly replying "oh no take it,I insist,besides you look hungry",jaiden joyfully asks "really sir?" the hokage nods "thanks sir",and jaiden rips open the bar and eats it.

The hokage thinks to himself while looking on the boy 'how could he have attacked those kids on purpose,his chakra doesn't gives off anger or rage '
