Chapter 8

long ago there was a clan,said to have originated from celestial beings,capable of creating amazing wonders.

In the start of it all,there were two groups of celestial beings,

First group game in the winter,descending from the sky with a large,round,colourful,object no one could ever imagine,when they came out of their celestial vehicle,they looked like humans but something was really different about them,they didn't revealed what or who they were, but it's said that they're beings capable of decimating mountains with one blow,able to lift boulders with ease and do so much more.

The second group came during the autumn,where they had descended on a large star-like platform,unlike the other group who didn't reveal their names,they revealed theirs' and called themselves the Otsutsukis,though their body structure was human like,but they had interesting abilities,they were abilities some said to have been far more impressive than the first beings,able to walk on water,heal the sick,control elements at their own will and do so much more.

A day came when both group of beings met each other and in the midst of their conversation,they challenged each other to show their abilities to decided which amongst the two beings were the best,

After hours of demonstration,each group had grown jealous of the other groups' power and they had been come to a conclusion to part ways.

The first group had conflict between themselves with some deciding to leave the world after the end of the argument, leaving only two of them,a male and a female.who fell in love very much and had male child named fructose

The second group got caught up in a conflict of their own,but only a few decided to leave the large group,having grown tired of walking the planet,they decided to settle down on the world and each of them ended up settling down with the humans here.

Year passed

One day a young man at the age of 20 met a beautiful girl at his age being swept by a strong river current,in which he barely saved her from.

Moments after saving her,the young lady's friends came and found them saying 'they saw that she had fallen into the water and was trying different ways,but the raging currents was making it difficult for them.

Being kind,he offered help and insisted to take the girl to where she stayed,.

When he reached the abode of the unconscious girl,he met her parents (who had turned out to be the heads of a massive community with unique powers) which after hearing of his brave acts,promised to owe him a favour for saving their daughter's(their only child's) life,but even though they asked,he didn't accept the favour because what he had done is just helping someone in trouble.

After some words were exchanged,he exchanged goodbyes with them and left.

A week later,

The young man was on a tree doing sit-ups,until he was met by a lady who he recognized as the girl he had saved.the girl came to say how grateful she was to him and the young man says 'he was just helping someone in trouble'.

And so after talking for quite some time,they became friends,

Which after that days turned to weeks,weeks turned to months and months turned to years,

In the years that had passed,they had grown in love and had agreed that they needed to marry,they decided to let their parents meet,to get their approval and blessings.

At the day of the parents meeting,the girl's father recognized both his parents and so did they.

They exchanged pleasantries and told each other what had happened after they went in different ways.when they were done,they both granted the young couple their blessings and approval.

A year and six moths after they had wed,they gave birth to a boy.they already had a first name for the baby but had decided to combine parts of their names and made it his last name,

The name of the baby was called 'Kenshi Fukanagi'.

Eighteen years later,

Kenshi had grown into a fine young warrior,and since he had become of age,he was made the first ruler of the clan,which was then named the fukanagi afterwards.

Later events made the fukanagi well known for their unique and potent abilities,their strange but efficient technology and delicacies never seen before,

Centuries passed and the fukanagi prospered through warding off invasions,fertile soil reaping unbelievable and bountiful harvests and strict, but fair laws.

Many centuries passed and the fukanagi were targeted for their gifts of power,so for further protection reasons,the eleventh ruler of the fukanagi(yuki fukanagi) made a command to create a force field,so that she would have less concerns about uncontrolled attempted invasions,so they had made an impenetrable force field around its walls so that it would let only those with true fukanagi inherited genes in them,and forces men back with a pulse,that can sometimes,be harmful.which only came up if two guards at their city gates were not available or the gates were closed.

More years passed and the now 20th ruler of the fukanagi was ill and had to choose between his sons (who were twins)to succeed him.so he tested their wisdom by sending them on an errand,to collect the egg of a mythical beast,known to only prowl at night.

they went on the errand,in which both men battle the beast and subdued it.when each of them took an egg,the beast pleaded with them to not take the eggs,which were yet to hatch,that those two eggs are the only thing she held dear and contained her children she haven't seen yet.

One hesitantly listened,the other ignored the beast.the one who showed hesitation asked the other if he felt bad for taking the children of the mother away.the other simply scoffed and said 'father asked us to bring the egg of the beast and it's what we're doing.besides,she was too weak to protect them.she will stop crying at some point'.

The man who hesitated went back to the nest and kept back the egg and went ahead to heal the beast's wound.

When he returned,the brother asked him why he kept back egg.

He replied 'that he felt sorry for the mother and went back too drop the egg in her nest.if being a ruler means taking from the weak and making them miserable so that the strong get pleased,then maybe it isn't worth being a king'.

The brother laughed and called him a fool saying 'he was soft and foolish for returning the egg their father asked them to bring,that a king is supposed to have full authority over their subjects without question.that this is the reason why he will never be king'

When they returned and went to their father's chamber,the bedridden ruler saw one of them not holding an egg,he question the one with the egg 'how did it go?',the elder twin answered 'I have gotten an egg,even though the mother pleaded,I still carried out the task and brought the egg,besides,rulers don't need to harbor emotion when given orders,especially from my father'.

The father asked the younger twin 'how did it go?',he answered 'I didn't bring the egg because the mother was saddened and i felt bad when I first took it after we subdued it,so I returned it and healed the beasts wound,...…if being a ruler means making other people miserable to please yourself,then I don't think the throne is worth it'

'this kingdom would have fallen in it's first year in your leadership if it were yours to rule,brother.' the elder twin thought

The father then dismissed them and told them to call one of their warriors,and when the warrior arrived the king told them to return the egg to the beast.

A week passed and the ruler had died,when the advisor to the king announced it,the entire kingdom wept because he was a great king.

At the day of reading the fathers will,he declared the younger twin shinsuke fukanagi as the new ruler of the clan,which he rejected and instead told them it was his older twin who was supposed to be king because he obeyed his father's request.

the adviser told him that the reason of the test was to see who would have compassion and drop the egg back for the beast when it had pleaded,further stating that the ruler knew being leader wasn't only about authority and competency,but also about showing understanding and compassion to people's situations.

Being angry,the elder twin stormed out as they crowned the younger twin the ruler.

Two years had passed and two clans were at the midst of war,in an area not far from the fukanagi city,the king went with his advisors and other cabinet members to see what was happening and it turned out that the two clans namely the uchiha and senju clan was having a feud.

The wise king stepped in and advised a ceasefire that would at least bring long-lived peace to the land,they didn't agree,but after several conflicts,they agreed not to a ceasefire,but a truce.the king being happy that he was able to bring peace to the land, went to his kingdom to announce that a new society would be with them soon.

The elder brother of the king had objected to the statement saying that introducing societies that had recently gone out of war to theirs was unwise and if they were to revert to war,it could disrupt the peace of the city.

His objection was overruled and the king went ahead and partnered with the society that was being formed and built.

The town which was being formed was named konoha.

Many years had passed and the king had a son whose name was ichinose and he was at the age of sixteen,already becoming a fine warrior/shinobi with great skills with his friend kai who was skilled as well,

Until one day a coup was suddenly carried out on the city and the leader of the coup was shintaro fukanagi who had planned with some people in konoha to overthrow the king and become the ruler,in exchange for the fukanagi's secrets.

It was a fierce battle and when shintaro was going to release the barrier after subduing the king to the point he was crawling,he stood up and turned to his son who was beaten up badly and called his son to take something from him and they exchanged words like a father would to his son,until he said farewell to him and made an urgent sacrifice,getting up and running himself and his brother through with his blade and open a space-time portal in the castle,one into a dimension called incinerator and the other a portal leading to an unknown place,then made a seal to strengthen the barrier and used a psychic link which the ruler shared with the people of the city to tell them all to evacuate and go into hiding ,until the prince returned.

After this he threw himself and his brother with the blade into the incineration dimension and his son was then sucked into the void that could take him anywhere in space or time to protect the city which was sealed to be opened by a fukanagi.

They had obeyed and went into many directions hiding both their power and identity.

The city was no more active and had been deserted.the legendary clan was no more and the gates sealed shut until a true fukanagi were to open it.

"Wow" jaiden said looking into his now empty bowl.

"wow indeed" vetra said,her gaze never moving from the wall at the end of the large garden.

"so does that mean that I'm a…"

"yes.if you'd like,from now on you are called jaiden fukanagi" vetra said looking at him with a face that seemed to hold no emotion

"so then" jaiden said looking up

….

'this is my home' he thought closing his eyes smiling.
