Some ladies collapsed, while others left in a fury. Their hearts burned with disappointment and jealousy.

"Is she better than me?" one would ask the other.

"You called us here to insult us?" a father stood in for his daughter, "Have my daughter, and I'll provide everything you need when the time comes. I will sponsor your wedding and everything."

"I am a soon-to-be billionaire's son. I don't need your money or your daughter," he retorted, now a man.

"Very well!" His uncle supported.

"This is a disgrace, McCarthy! Why are you doing this to me?" Matilda cried, falling into the arms of her friends for support, "Tell this young boy something," she said, picking up her fan and starting fanning herself.
