Olivia, with no other choice, extended her hand, and fortunately, it was Gerald who had come to rescue her.

"You startled me," she muttered as she emerged from beneath the car.

"What happened to your voice?" Olivia inquired. Still looking down at his boots. She reminded such boots walked up to her, when she was suffering but she didn't remember the exact thing.

Soon, McCarthy also arrived, appearing very dirty and breathing heavily.

"Did you apprehend him?" Gerald inquired, referring to their prearranged plan moments ago when they were tailing Olivia.

While following her, they discovered an unidentified man—an outsider—also trailing their target.

As he fled upon seeing them, McCarthy promptly took an alternate route and swiftly captured him just as he leaped over the fence, taking only three long strides.
