CH-60 THE CLUB LADY

CHAPTER 60 - THE CLUB LADY

Gerald paid no heed to his words; he was ready to shoot. Just as he prepared to squeeze the trigger, a middle-aged woman appeared.

"What was that noise, Williamsburg?" she asked, approaching from the room, tapping the ground with her stick. She walked past Gerald. "I heard your voice and another man's voice," she continued, moving forward.

"No, mom. It's just me," Williamsburg replied.

"No, you're with someone. Are you fighting with the hunter again?" she cried, sensing the presence of another person.

"I will have to shoot your son," Gerald said, still gripping his gun tightly.

"Don't be foolish. Let your boss handle this himself. Franklin is my son, and I'll say it to his face!"

Gerald fired warning shots into the ceiling, causing the woman to collapse from the shock. She suffered from an eye condition, unable to discern who was shooting due to her partial blindness, which limited her vision to only light.
