Eiji’s Punishment

The next day.

Male dormitory of Tokyo Jujutsu High School.

In his room, Eiji sits on a chair facing the window, the morning sunlight illuminating his figure as he reads a book.

In addition to the book in his hand, there are stacks of books on the table next to him.

The books are about computers and hacking.

As a result of his excessive actions at yesterday's School Goodwill Event, Eiji has been suspended by the school for a week as punishment.

Although in the end, the high school students from Jujutsu Kyoto did not suffer serious injuries, his extreme actions are an undeniable fact.

To explain to Jujutsu Kyoto High School, Principal Yaga suspended Eiji as a form of responsibility.

So, Eiji uses his free time to study hacking knowledge to the level of hacking a country's network.

His goal is to create a false identity when he arrives in a world with a modem background like the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. Besides, in the modern era, it's difficult for someone to move freely without an identification card.

"A theory in the end is just a theory. Often theory and field practice are very different, practice is needed to test the theories I've learned."

Closing the book he's reading, Eiji opens his laptop and begins to apply his new knowledge.

As a first experiment, he tries to hack the police database.

For a beginner hacker, this is a risky move because it would be a problem if his hacking skills are not skilled enough and he gets detected by cyber security.

But Eiji is different, even if his hacking activity is detected, he doesn't need to worry about being arrested.

The Japanese police and Jujutsu Sorcerers are affiliated. With an identity as a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer and the Gojo Family background, he is almost immune to legal repercussions as long as he doesn't violate human rights or significantly harm the country.

"Sure enough... It didn't go smoothly on the first try, huh... It's okay, at most Principal Yaga will scold me."

Seeing the laptop screen displaying failure in hacking the police database, Eiji expected this.

Although he's a genius, he won't become proficient in something new on the first try.

"Since I've started, let's keep trying until it works. Anyway, I will definitely receive punishment for this. Punishment for making a mistake once or multiple times won't make much of a difference."

Ignoring the trouble he will face later, Eiji continues his attempt to hack the police database.

He doesn't care if he fails repeatedly. As long as he makes progress, it's enough to prevent him from giving up.

As time passes, his hacking skills become more proficient. Eiji successfully hacks the police database on the fifth attempt.

Not satisfied with stopping there, he continues to hack into government secret information.

...

"Finally, it's over..."

Walking out of Principal Yaga's office, Eiji walks to the dormitory.

As he predicted. In the afternoon, Principal Yaga received notifications about his actions of hacking into the police database and other government servers.

As the main culprit, Eiji is called and interrogated.

He cooperates, without feeling guilty at all, explaining the reasons behind his actions.

When Principal Yaga learns that Eiji did this to improve his hacking skills, he reprimands him for his reckless behavior and asks him not to repeat this in the future.

Eiji agrees without hesitation. Besides, he feels his hacking skills are already at a national level.

There's no need to hack government servers anymore. It would only cause trouble.

"Having a strong background makes it easier for me to do many things that civilians can't."

Back in his room, Eiji sits on the chair, watching the twilight sky with birds flying back to their nests, grateful to have the Gojo Family as his supporters.

"Well, what should I do to spend my free time?"

Bored of staring at the scenery, he is puzzled and doesn't know what to do.

He doesn't have any particular hobbies.

Watch anime?

If not for his nanny, Naomi, Eiji would never watch anime. After Naomi retired and got married, he lost interest in watching anime.

"It turns out my life is quite boring..."

"Besides training, there aren't many activities I do."

Eiji touches his chest, feeling empty, which furrows his brows.

He hasn't been training anymore.

It's not because he's lazy or feels he's already OP (Overpowered). On the contrary, any training doesn't yield results because he has reached his maximum potential.

At least, he who hasn't awakened the Six Eyes, has exhausted his potential.

"Not only developing Limitless Technique beyond the limit of the Inherited Technique itself, I have also created several derivative skills from the Limitless Technique and have mastered them to the Maximum level."

"Even after all that, I'm not optimistic about defeating Sukuna in his prime."

Thinking about the bleak future that is getting closer, Eiji feels pressed for time.

The reason he's obsessed with seeking power in another world is because he can no longer increase his strength in this world.

His current strength is at the top of the Jujutsu Kaisen World power scale.

During his school years, Eiji has used Azure twice to travel to another world. However, it seems that the Goddess of Fortune has not favored him. He arrived in the normal world without any power.

"Oh well, stop thinking about this. There's no point in being overly anxious, it will only disturb my mind. There are still 2 years before the plot starts, I don't believe I can't come to another world with a unique power system."

Eiji takes a bottle of chocolate milk from the Storage Ring, opens the lid, and starts drinking to improve his mood.

Chocolate can improve mood because of substances like serotonin and phenylethylamine that can enhance feelings of happiness and relaxation.

This is knowledge he gained from a book.

"Boring..."

Eiji thinks he should just sleep to pass the time or hang out outside when suddenly an idea pops into his mind.

"By the way, Tendo Akira has a notebook that contains a Bucket List. I can copy it and write down what I want to do."

Feeling it's not a bad idea, he implements his idea.

The book and pen on the table fly into his hand because of the pulling force.

"What should I write...?"

Looking at the blank page in front of him, Eiji is confused about what to write.

"What I want..."

Closing his eyes, he imagines the life of a normal person that he has always dreamed of.

"When you gain something, you must pay something."

Opening his eyes, his calm expression changes slightly. Then he starts writing.

[Bucket List]

1. Attend school like a normal person.

2. Experience falling in love.

3. Have a girlfriend.

4. Go on a date with a girlfriend to an amusement park.

5. Work part-time like a normal high school student.

After writing down five things, Eiji stops writing.

"Although it seems simple, it's a life that is almost impossible to achieve for a Jujutsu Sorcerer like me."

Closing the book, he puts it on the table.

Eiji understands his situation very well. It's impossible for him to retire like Nanami Kento.

His extraordinary strength and the expectations of the Gojo Family members don't allow him to quit as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.

"Let's sleep, I'm tired of listening to Principal Yaga's lectures."

Lying on the bed, he closes his eyes and falls asleep.

This is his way of forgetting his dream to live like a normal person.

After all, he's just a 15-year-old teenager. It's not surprising that he's going through an identity-searching phase.

He's not a Transmigrator who has lived two lives, even though he has Lin Fan's memories.

For him, Lin Fan's memory is like a movie on a computer, and he has no feelings towards other people's life experiences.
