“Can’t believe I have had so many intercontinental flights in the past two months…”
An utterly exasperated tone could be heard inside a car parked in front of an airport. The speaker was a woman whose gaze and expression showed clear signs of exhaustion. She cast her eyes far forward as she put her chin on the steering wheel. The robust smell of coffee wafted from the cup in the front consoles. Yet, she didn’t think caffeine could keep her awake any longer than this.
“I already told you I can go alone. Also, this is my vacation. Why are you tagging along?”
In the shotgun seat was a man sitting leisurely while leaning against the backrest. His feet were put on the front console. His blatant rudeness was so overwhelming that his companion didn’t bother to scold him anymore.
“It’s not like I’m dying to stick with you. The team ordered me to keep a close eye on you.”
“Cindy, I’m not a kid.”
The man countered tiredly, and the woman loudly made a ‘hah!’ noise from her lungs.
