Charles cracked another smile while Merlin narrowed his eyes. His knights were standing in front of him, at the ready, primed for battle.

However, their opponent just kept running away.

And that caused Merlin to make a “tch” noise of annoyance with his tongue.

“Just running around. Is he trying to buy time?”

As he grumbled, Alice’s special ability took effect. Fairytale Book opened and stopped at a random page again.

“A mushroom earlier turned her into a giant. I hope this time she doesn’t eat a flower and start throwing fireballs,” Merlin mumbled as he conjured another card to his hand as readied himself.

“Ah, wicked. We got a Blessing Cure this time? How wonderful.”

Meanwhile, Charles had a satisfied smile on his face after seeing that Alice got a spell that helped recover his LP back to the full forty points again.
