“Well, at least he asked you…”

Dia burst into laughter. She had heard enough about Snowbelle’s reputation to know that the younger white dragon didn’t bother with requests and simply acted on impulse. Her owner’s laid-back nature only enabled her further.

“How long have you two been in this area?” Dia asked.

“Just today.”

“So, you haven’t run into the white dragon packs yet?”

“Oh, we dealt with them around noon,” Dani chimed in, causing Dia to pause and glance at Joke, who looked perfectly unscathed. She couldn’t help but chuckle.

“One day, and you’ve already taken on a white dragon pack and a boss with immeasurable power, and you’re still in one piece… You’re something else, Joker.”

“Assuming you ignore my shattered mental state.”

Before Joker could answer, Dani cut in, taking a long drag of his cigarette before exhaling heavily. Dia, observing his worn-out demeanor, finally understood why the blond hunter seemed so utterly drained.
