Evolution Part I

“Whoa! It looks nothing like the picture you sent us, damn it!”

Ace shouted, narrowing his eyes as he observed the massive and dangerous entity before him. As they flew close enough to get a good look, the “Hydragradon,” the colossal island boss, came into view. Its appearance was completely different from the previous image they had seen—like night and day.

The boss’s body had grown significantly larger. Its heads were now grotesque and gnarled, and its face resembled a snake more than a dragon. The three heads rose high, asserting dominance over the area and prepared to annihilate any intruders who dared to cross into its territory.

“You’re right, Dia. It looks way different now,” Joke commented, turning to the woman flying nearby.

“It’s probably adapting to the environment. There’s a chance it evolved after clashing with our dragons. That’s part of the survival instinct of a boss like this,” Dia replied.

Not only its appearance but its power seemed to have changed as well.
