No Other Choice Part II

"I’ve already tried, but I can’t open a portal… it must be his doing."

The words hit Joke like a cold splash of water. He turned back to Hibiki, who was now chuckling with satisfaction. It was clear he hadn’t come here without a well-thought-out plan.

"Trying to call in Ace and Dia to save your skin, huh? Too bad for you. Once I figured out what powers your precious White Dragon possessed, it wasn’t hard to seal them off."

Joke’s mind raced, piecing together the situation with the clues laid out before him.

Hibiki couldn’t outright seal magic—he lacked that ability.

But one thing was becoming clear: he likely had the power to “suppress magic.”

As Joke processed this, Hibiki’s grin stretched even further.

"You didn’t really think I’d be stupid enough to come here alone, did you? What’s the saying for this? Oh yeah—fool me once, shame on me… fool me twice? Well, you know the rest."

Screeech!
