“What’s the deal here, man?”

As soon as they got a moment alone in Arcadia, Dani asked with a faint smile on his face.

“What do you mean?”

“Well, obviously—your girlfriend showing up out of nowhere like that. What’s going on?”

Joke glanced around the dragons’ island and let out a long sigh.

“I was just as surprised as you. Yesterday, I woke up and suddenly found her lying next to me.”

“Yeah… I’d be freaked out too,” Dani chuckled, wondering to himself if anyone on the Patriots team lived like a normal person. From King, who once showed up as a homeless man and crashed at Joke’s place, to Lia, who popped in unannounced like this—it was always something extraordinary.

“So, what’s the story? Did she come to see you because she was worried?”

“Not exactly,” Joke sighed. “The original plan was for us to travel together. Lia wrapped up her business, and now it’s time for her to finish preparing her deck.”

Hearing this, Dani let out a big sigh.
