Sulking! Part II

“Here’s my advice: you’d better go see her before the day is over. If not, and she starts sulking harder, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

Lia froze for a moment, her expression shifting as she processed who “her” might be. When the realization hit, she gasped softly.

“We need to go, Joke!”

“Huh? Go where—oh, okay… Got it. Goodbye, Coach!” Joke stammered as Lia grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the office, leaving Emvika chuckling quietly.

Watching Lia tug her boyfriend out in such a hurry, Emvika’s thoughts drifted back to the past. She could still picture the little girl from years ago—sharp-eyed, guarded, impossibly smart, and difficult to understand.

And yet, that same girl had grown into someone who opened her heart to another person, someone who now worked to protect the summoner world she loved.

Time had flown by so quickly.

“...Time really does pass in the blink of an eye, doesn’t it?”
