Battle Royale Part I

“The qualifiers for this tournament will be conducted in a Battle Royale format.”

That was Coach Emvika’s opening statement in the large conference room, where nearly all the team members and staff had been summoned. The atmosphere was a mix of excitement and tension—understandable, considering that the rules for this competition were unlike anything they had encountered before.

“The entire competition will take place within Arcadia, as originally planned. The qualifier stage will last for a full month, and only the top 32 players with the highest scores will advance to the main tournament. It might sound simple in theory, but believe me, this will be the toughest challenge you’ve ever faced.”

As soon as those words left her lips, Coach Emvika let her gaze sweep across the room, meeting the eyes of each staff member and competitor before finally settling on Joker, the team captain, who sat at the very front.
