Idle Farming Game Basis: The system is rooted in the game Idle Farming, which Liam initially created and Aurora later enhanced with her algorithms. The game involves characters that players can send on expeditions to dungeons to gather resources or fight monsters. These resources are then used to craft new gear or obtain skill cards that enhance the characters' abilities.
Automatic Content Generation: Aurora implemented an algorithm that automatically generates new content for the game. This includes new dungeons, monsters, materials, gear, and periodic events, making the game self-sustaining and continuously engaging for players.
Crafting System: A standout feature of the game (and, by extension, the system) is its intricate crafting system. Initially simple, it was revamped by Aurora to allow not just the use of blueprints found in dungeons but also the creation of custom equipment by players. This open-ended, creative aspect of the system has made it particularly popular and is considered its crown jewel.
Real-World Interaction: Unlike the game, the system seems to interact with the real world. Liam must discover new dungeons in the real world and register them to the system by coming in contact with them.
Dungeon Mechanics: The system includes dungeons similar to those in the game, with a couple of key mechanics: the dungeon that unlocks after clearing the previous one and a weekly dungeon that is randomly generated based on players' current power. However, in the system, all dungeons appear to be like the latter, requiring discovery and registration.
Avatars and Time Limits: Avatars within the system function as the players' representatives, undertaking expeditions and facing challenges like clearing dungeons within a set time limit. The avatars have unlimited numbers of lives, no matter how many times they die they respawn and continue exploring the dungeon. The monsters and materials don't respawn upon the avatar's death, only after 24 hours the entire dungeon will resent.
