Emma Hart was sobbing uncontrollably, a stark contrast to her soft cries from the day before. 

She seemed to be venting all the grievances of her heart, her neck strained as she cried rivers of tears in front of Damian Sterling. 

Damian, taken aback by her sudden outburst, felt his rising anger extinguish instantly beneath the torrent of her tears.

Rubbing his temples in slight frustration, Damian couldn't understand how this woman could so easily sway his emotions. 

Upon learning of her escape, his inner turmoil was like a tempestuous sea, yet now, seeing her wail, he found it impossible to remain indifferent.

While Damian felt a pang of sympathy, he knew discipline was necessary. 

If such scenes became a daily drama, he would be driven to distraction.
