Broaden Your Horizons

Damian Sterling placed his hands together on the table, his sharp gaze piercing through to Matthew Taylor as their eyes met, sparking with intensity. 

"Mr. Taylor, you're aware of the Sterling Group's standing in City A. If you secure this land, I'll handle the rest, and we'll split the profits equally. It's a very fitting deal."

"But what if someone offers a price much lower than the Sterling Group's, asking for less?" Matthew Taylor countered directly.

Damian was momentarily taken aback. No one would dare challenge the Sterling Group's might! 

Yet, Matthew Taylor's demeanor suggested that this deal wasn't as straightforward as Damian had thought. 

The only plausible explanation was that someone had offered a greater benefit, as in the business world, interests always take precedence over emotions.
