Saving It for the Kid to See

"Are you expecting me to be proficient in everything?" Damian Sterling raised an eyebrow, his voice laced with disbelief.

"Is there anything Mr. Sterling can't do?" Emma Hart laughed, "So, it's riding a bike." Her laughter grew as she continued.

"From the moment I was born, I had three nannies swirling around me. Until I was five, nannies took care of all my basic needs. When I started school at six, I was chauffeured back and forth until I graduated from high school. After getting my driver's license, I drove myself, until later, I had drivers to take me places. When would I ever have had the chance to learn something like this?"

Damian's rationale sounded irrefutable.

It almost seemed as if not knowing how to ride a bike was somehow the fault of his three nannies, six caretakers, and nine drivers.
