No One Can Bully You

Emma Hart scoffed inwardly.

She had changed, becoming a hundred times better than before! Yet, Damien Sterling's keen eyes caught the faint smile on her lips.

He glanced at the flamboyant woman on stage but felt no recognition. Given Emma's reaction, she was likely the friend who had betrayed Emma.

"I need to use the restroom," Emma said, walking away. Years of friendship shattered over a man; the thought still pained her deeply.

Natalie Black's voice filled her head as she entered the restroom. Emma's eyes began to mist up. To hide her tears from Damien, she turned on the faucet full blast, splashing water on her face.

Tears mixed with water, a salty tang clinging to her lips. After a moment, Emma felt better. She turned to dry her face.
