Life Cannot Be Perfect

"Sorry, Director Allen," Emma Hart realized she had asked something inappropriate.

"It's fine! Daniel and I are doing well, aren't we?" Lucy Allen smiled, but it was clear to anyone that she was forcing it.

Emma Hart chose not to press further. She simply nodded and murmured "Hmm," as they continued watching their children.

From that moment, Emma deeply admired Lucy Allen's independence and strength. She realized that life could never be perfect. Emma had endured an unfortunate early life, but fate compensated her with a stable and happy later life. She had no freedom, constantly revolving around Damien Sterling and the kids, yet she was shielded from the harshness of the world. Lucy Allen, on the other hand, had the freedom to do as she pleased but had to face the world alone.
