Emma Hart woke up early, feeling refreshed and in a good mood, resuming her daily duties as Damien Sterling's personal assistant as if nothing had happened. Perhaps she had simply grown used to the constant scolding by now.

After breakfast, Emma and Damien took the kids to school together, chatting and laughing along the way. It was as if last night's unpleasant incident had been nothing more than a bad dream. If only it had been just a dream, that would have been perfect.

Twenty minutes later, outside the CEO's office at Sterling Group.

As Damien and Emma stepped out of the elevator, they noticed Assistant Lee already waiting on the couch outside the office.

"Mr. Sterling, finally! I've been trying to reach you, but your phone was off. Mr. Sterling Senior called and needs to speak with you," Assistant Lee said, standing up quickly.

"Is something wrong?" Damien asked.
