As the tension simmered, Jiho couldn't resist a taunt at Elder Ji's accusation of insulting culture.

With a hint of sarcasm, she remarked, "Insulting culture! Oh, what big words. Isn't it your so-called pride that has been hurted?" Her tone carried a biting edge, challenging the elder's authority and the righteousness of his claims.

Elder Ji's expression tightened, her pride stung by Jiho's words.

However, she maintained her composure and replied in a measured tone, "Our traditions and values are the backbone of this village. Disregarding them is a disrespect to our ancestors and our way of life."

Jiho's voice, though calm, carried an underlying edge of defiance as she addressed Elder Ji.

"Elder Ji," she began firmly, "while I respect our cultural norms, what transpires between my husband and me is a private matter, not subject to public scrutiny."
