I nodded at this and said, "you will not regret showing your approval on me." I thanked him again and left the palace.
After Leaving the king's place I went to finance department and collected the money with the land acquiring document. This land was given to me to set up base. There were 3 bases given to me. One was a palace in the capital, another one is in north of the kingdom and the last one is near the river.
After collecting everything I left the place and called the head guard Ramesh from my elite battalion.
This battalion is completely loyal to me and trained by me. These are best in the bests. I personally trained each and everyone of them. These include 200 members. With 19 super Soldiers which heads 190 soldiers and 8 Generals who commands 19 super soldiers and 1 vice-General and lastly the strongest General- "Ramesh."
So, I called Ramesh and ask him to get ready and take 50 soldiers with him to the base near the river. I would produce papers in the base river side.
Before going there, I ordered one of my soldiers to move their first and do proper cleaning of that place as it was closed for several time period.
It took us two days to reach the riverside base. It was a smaller palace compared to the one in the capital, but it had a historic charm. I commanded Ramesh to gather all the workers involved in plant-based material work near the city.
Next day, in the morning, after my usual routine, I performed a pooja (praying) to the gods and had breakfast. Following that, I went to the meeting room, where all the summoned workers were present. As they saw me, they stood up and shouted, "All hail Lord Prince. All hail Lord Prince." I raised my hand to silence them.
I addressed them, "You should know I called you today because you are paper producers or labor workers who work with the material used to produce paper." They nodded, and I continued, "Our kingdom is establishing its own government paper manufacturing factory here. I invite you to become workers in this government-affiliated factory, where you will receive proper facilities and a pay of 10 bronze coins per day per person (one gold coin is equal to a hundred bronze coins)."
This news brought smiles to every worker's face, as 10 bronze coins were a substantial amount, considering the average market price in this industry was just three to four bronze coins. I nodded and added, "If you're willing to register or work in the factory, you can submit your name to Ramesh and start coming to the factory from tomorrow at 8:30 AM. You will have an hour break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and your work will end at 6:30 PM. You will receive your money by 7:00 PM. The lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM is actually a lunch break, and food will be provided by us."
With this, the meeting concluded, and I had to address a few more people in the next two hours—Vinay and Komal, both scholars in their fields and good friends of mine. Vinay specialized in finance, while Komal possessed excellent management skills.
After explaining my plan to develop the kingdom, they were happy to help. I assigned Vinay as the finance head for paper manufacturing and Komal as the management head. Komal's first request was to build proper hygiene areas and provide two doctors and a chef to make lunch for the workers. This required approximately five gold coins, which Vinay provided, as I had given him around 500 gold coins for this project. I'm saving money for future projects and investments.
By nightfall, everything was in place—hygiene areas, doctors, and a chef were ready. The total number of workers, including doctors and the chef, was around 50.
10 bronze coins/worker×50 workers=500 bronze coins.
To express this in terms of gold coins, you need to convert it using the exchange rate of 1 gold coin = 100 bronze coins. Therefore:
500 bronze coins/100 bronze coin =5 gold coins.
So, the total daily salary for all 50 workers would be 5 gold coins
The total salary expenditure would be around 5 gold coins per day. I spent around 5 gold coins to purchase all the equipment needed for paper production. So far, I have spent 15 gold coins without any production, hoping to recover and profit in approximately 15 to 20 days.
