Chapter 30: The Decline of the Ancient Martial World

With a crisp crack, the sound of shattering glass followed by Lin Feng's screams as he clutched his arm echoed through the room. "Breaking one of your arms should be a warning. Don't blame me for being ruthless if there's a next time," Ye Tian said coldly, looking at the howling Lin Feng.

This wasn't just a threat. While Ye Tian might not have the courage or means to kill, remember, he wasn't just any martial artist.

With Hua Tuo's medical knowledge, his applications in certain aspects were far more terrifying than a martial artist's skills. Ye Tian had previously used this to cause an affluent businessman to involuntarily wet himself by stimulating pressure points with Dark Energy.

Hua Tuo's medical knowledge combined with Dark Energy was a horrifying prospect for most, including many martial artists. If Ye Tian hadn't been wary and still detached from the brutal world of martial artists, eliminating someone would be all too easy.

"I have a hundred ways to kill you, and you'd be powerless to stop it," this thought was a stark reality for Ye Tian now.

"Ye Tian!" Lin Feng gritted his teeth, his eyes bloodshot with anger and pain. But now, he could only curse internally, afraid to provoke Ye Tian further.

Knowing the other person hated him enough to kill, but still unable to do it himself, Ye Tian didn't bother with Lin Feng anymore and turned his attention to Master Chen, dousing him with beer.

Master Chen, though not knocked unconscious, was humiliated being outclassed by someone younger than his own disciple, used as a tool to hone Ye Tian's combat skills. Knowing he stood no chance against Ye Tian, he feigned unconsciousness, which was quickly seen through by Ye Tian's medical knowledge.

"Don't pretend. Get up, I have questions for you!" Ye Tian demanded coldly after pouring the beer.

"What would you like to know, Mr. Ye?" Master Chen opened his eyes, resigned and attempting to placate Ye Tian.

Despite being at a disadvantage during the fight, Master Chen had retained some dignity as a martial artist. But now, fear took over.

Ye Tian, who knew little about the ancient martial world apart from what he'd gleaned from Wang Ziwen, was eager to learn more. Master Chen, misunderstanding Ye Tian's combat display as a deliberate ruse, was surprised at the question but quickly spilled everything he knew.

As Master Chen spoke, Ye Tian realized the ancient martial world was not as glorious as he'd imagined. Master Chen's lineage from Shaolin was already in decline, and his knowledge of the ancient martial world was limited. The Daxia Kingdom had cracked down on martial artists for years, leaving most families in decline except for a few with powerful ancestors.

In places like Yangcheng and even the entire Tiandu province, ancient martial artists were rare. Even Master Chen, who had trained in martial arts from a young age and ran a martial arts school, had encountered only a few Ming Jin-level martial artists and none stronger than him.

This was why, even knowing Ye Tian was a Dark Energy practitioner, Master Chen dared to attack him. Ignorance is indeed fearless.

Disappointed with the lack of useful information, Ye Tian prepared to leave when suddenly, loud banging came from the door.

"Who the hell is causing trouble in Heaven and Earth Passion? Don't you know this place is under our Brother Ping's protection? You're tired of living, aren't you? Open up!"

Expecting it to be Lin Feng's bodyguards, Ye Tian was surprised they hadn't fled. But it wasn't them. Before Ye Tian could react, a burly man outside began cursing.

"Are you looking for trouble? It took you so long to open the door, you dare to—"

The man stopped mid-sentence as he saw the chaos inside the room, where it looked as though a tornado had passed through. Furniture was destroyed, and the doorframe was dented from the coffee table's impact.

"Is there a problem?" Ye Tian asked, his eyes narrowing.

The burly man swallowed hard and instinctively shook his head. While Ye Tian looked young and not capable of such destruction, the evidence was right in front of him, and the man certainly didn't want to test whether his body was tougher than the coffee table.
