Chapter 18: Double Confusion

The snow continued to fall, and Bella, in her dragon form, was pulling a truck with a huffing and puffing sound.

She didn't know where she should take the truck because Her Majesty the Queen only told her to pull forward.

Bella wondered if she had a destination; she could have simply grabbed the truck and flown there, saving herself from exhaustion.

Of course, for a Herrscher of Sentience like her, pulling a truck was never a burden. The main issue was the mental fatigue. Have you ever seen a Herrscher pulling a truck?

Bella sighed, preparing to continue the task assigned by Her Majesty the Queen. However, suddenly, Sirin teleported in front of her and said, "Bella, that's enough, stop."

Bella complied, halting the truck with a relaxed yet puzzled expression.

"Someone is approaching," Sirin calmly said without looking at Bella.

Bella became alert, looking around with an unfriendly expression. She transformed back into her human form, guarding around Sirin.

But Sirin shook her head. "Bella, there are only two people; they can't handle me. You take these children away from here."

"But, Your Majesty..." Bella hesitated. In her eyes, humans were cunning and despicable, and she was not comfortable leaving Her Majesty the Queen alone.

It was like the First Herrscher, who spoke of negotiations but fought as if trying to kill someone.

"Don't worry, Bella," Sirin cradled Bella's face, "they can't harm me. You just take these children far away, then come back and help me."

Bella bent down, kneeling on one knee, and accepted the task.

Afterward, transforming into her dragon form, she grabbed the truck with her claws and flew into the sky, getting farther and farther away.

Sirin watched Bella fly away and looked at a nearby forest. "No need to hide; I've known you were here."

[...] The consciousness linked with Sirin, the "God," was momentarily speechless, wondering if it was them who got too close.

"You've become stronger," Theresa walked out of the bushes, sounding somewhat frustrated.

For some reason, this Herrscher in front of her was the cause of her rapidly declining reputation at the Schicksal headquarters over the past few days.

After an exposure from Siegfried, who refused to reveal his name, the rumor that "Theresa got beaten up by a kid" was spread by Shigure Kira.

[Rule 34 Ver. here: ]

Shigure Kira, an A-rank Valkyrie of the Schicksal, and a former member of Cecilia's "Snow Wolf Squad." After Siegfried took Cecilia away, she spread unfavorable rumors about Siegfried, such as "touching the buttocks of all Valkyries at Schicksal."

Now, Theresa and Siegfried were on the same side. Conveniently, they were also assigned to work together this time.

"No," Sirin laughed and shook her head, "what if there's a possibility that you've become weaker, shorty."

Underneath Theresa's hair appeared a "#" sign. She hated being called shorty.

She looked up at the Herrscher in the sky, feeling more displeased.

Originally, this person was also a little kid, just about the same height as herself. Why insult her height? Wasn't she also a shorty?!

Moreover, she dared to fly in the sky and look down on me, truly despicable!

Theresa really wanted to teach this Herrscher a lesson, but after some consideration, this Herrscher had already absorbed the 6500HW Honkai energy reactor in Babylon Laboratory. Her current strength was unknown, so Theresa decided to withhold her anger for now.

I'll endure it, I'll endure it.

"Theresa, is this the Herrscher who made you suffer a loss?"

"..."

Her fist clenched. If it wasn't on the battlefield, she would have given Siegfried a good beating for sure.

Why say something so unnecessary.

"Surprisingly, you dare to come before me☆," Sirin chuckled, looking at Theresa with a mischievous gaze.

She conveniently forgot the incident where she almost killed the other party before.

"Herrscher, on behalf of Schicksal, I apologize for what happened before," Theresa sincerely apologized.

"Are you talking about being locked up for Honkai energy experiments or the fact that you knocked out my brother?" Sirin pointed at her chin with her fair fingers, asking.

"... Both," Theresa hesitated for a moment and answered.

"Since you have sincerely apologized to me, then I can only..." Sirin paused for a moment, a bright smile on her lovely face, "not accept your apology☆"

"After all, my guardian is not here, and I can't make decisions."

Theresa saw through it. This Herrscher was trying to annoy her.

So grudge-bearing?!

"Bishop ordered us to take you away," Theresa continued.

"Why?" Sirin did not rush to attack, continuing to chat with Theresa, waiting for Bella's return.

Ever since the fight with the First Herrscher, Sirin felt it was better to be cautious. Not to mention that the cross carried by the short one in front of her gave her an uncomfortable feeling. And the white-haired man with blue eyes...

She didn't believe that the people sent by the Schicksal to capture her would be ordinary.

Following her brother's advice, Sirin learned a few new things.

"Because Schicksal cannot allow any Herrscher to roam freely, especially since you just destroyed Schicksal's research facility."

"Hehehe," Sirin suddenly laughed, "What about the First Herrscher, Welt? How is he still roaming free?"

"..." Theresa and Siegfried exchanged glances, both falling silent.

This question, they really couldn't answer.

"In that case, we have no choice but to take you back by force!" Theresa sighed. Since learning about the tragic fate of these children, she didn't want to fight the Herrscher.

But she was a Valkyrie of the Schicksal. Even if Schicksal was wrong in this matter, it wouldn't allow a free-roaming Herrscher, especially one with great hostility towards Schicksal.

Theresa took out Judah, and the chain shot out.

"Bang!" Siegfried also decisively pulled the trigger, and bullets shot from the barrel of the Holy Fire Cannon towards Sirin.

The battle began immediately.

On the other side, Bella was flying with a load of children in the air.

Feeling that she had flown far enough, she descended and gently placed the truck on the ground, transforming back into her human form. She warned the children inside, "No running around."

The children, who had never experienced such a situation, hurriedly nodded.

Bella smiled and prepared to leave, but suddenly stopped. She sensed an uncomfortable aura.

Turning around, she indeed saw Welt approaching with a boy.

Seeing Welt, Bella felt a pain in her wings. Just as she was about to act, she noticed the boy beside Welt.

She was stunned and immediately ran over, kneeling on one knee.

"Brother! I finally found you!"

Chase: ??

Welt: ??

The two looked at each other, both seeing confusion in each other's eyes.
