Chapter 26: Theresa is Confused

Headquarters of "Schicksal," on the floating island.

Siegfried played with Kiana at home, occasionally riding a horse or lifting her high. Cecilia was busy cooking, and the family appeared to be harmonious and happy.

Suddenly, Theresa pushed open the door and urgently found Siegfried still playing with Kiana.

"Theresa, is your injury healed?" Siegfried asked.

An exclamation mark immediately appeared over Theresa's head, but considering her purpose, she restrained herself.

"Now is not the time to talk about that. Siegfried, do you know that Grandpa has recently adopted a child?"

"Huh? Are you talking about the child who was adopted as a foster son?" Siegfried thought for a moment. "You didn't come here just for that, did you?"

"What do you mean 'just for that'? Have you seen that child?"

"Well... no," Siegfried scratched his head, feeling a bit awkward.

Otto announced this when he wasn't around, and Theresa was also undergoing rehabilitation training at the "Schicksal" medical room, so neither of them had participated.

"Then, take a look at this." Theresa took out her communication device, manipulated it for a while, and showed a video taken by a Valkyrie to Siegfried.

"Oh." Siegfried naturally took it and thought, "Theresa just got herself a new dad, what's the big deal?"

Then he became dumbfounded.

Isn't this the child taken away on the snowy field that day?!

Siegfried internally exclaimed, "What a coincidence!"

So, those mysterious individuals are really associated with "Schicksal," and unintentionally, he did disrupt their plans.

Siegfried felt that his future in "Schicksal" seemed dark. He even imagined a death omen shining above his head, and Bishop holding a pistol aimed at him...

Alas, his fate was sealed!

Siegfried was momentarily speechless and looked at Theresa, realizing that she had the same expression while looking at him.

If complex emotions could be represented by a pie chart, it would be 40% shock, 40% helplessness, and 20% confusion.

"Theresa, what should we do?" Siegfried asked.

"I came here to discuss this with you, didn't I?" Theresa had a headache, not to mention that this child is the older brother of the Herrscher, the difference in age alone made her uncomfortable.

A father falling from the sky? Better not get involved in this...

"Daddy, hug." Little Kiana noticed that Siegfried was not paying attention to her, so she ran to his side, pulled his clothes with her small hands, and looked at him with bright blue eyes, blinking innocently and full of charm.

Siegfried felt a bit helpless, and Theresa had a complex expression.

"Kiana, go see what Mom made today, and tell Mom that Aunt Theresa is here."

Kiana felt a bit disappointed but didn't insist, walking out of the room and going to find Cecilia.

"That child, based on his reactions when he interacted with him before, clearly harbors disgust and distrust towards 'Schicksal.'"

"But now he actually recognizes Grandpa as his foster father, which is obviously suspicious," Theresa said.

Siegfried's expression was complicated and conflicted.

"Siegfried, just say what you want to say." Theresa naturally noticed Siegfried's abnormality and said impatiently.

A grown man acting all fidgety, disgusting.

"Theresa, let me secretly tell you something, don't tell anyone else, especially Himeko!"

"Okay!" Theresa confidently patted her flat chest, assuring him.

Then Siegfried told Theresa what happened after their encounter with the Second Herrscher.

Theresa was silent—up.

Theresa was shocked—middle.

Theresa regretted—down.

Theresa slapped herself awake in the middle of the night, blaming herself. Why was she so curious?

Theresa looked at Siegfried, mouth slightly open, thinking for a long time but couldn't come up with a sentence. Finally, she could only utter a single Arabic numeral:

"6."

Siegfried sweated, "Invincible Theresa, think of a solution!"

"I don't want the Bishop to hate me!" Theresa exclaimed.

"Forget it, Grandpa probably already hates you. You better not go out. Don't get arrested by 'Schicksal' for stepping out with your left foot first."

"Any remedial measures?" Siegfried was sweating cold, "It's been a few days, and the Bishop hasn't punished me yet. Maybe he has forgiven me? Haha."

"No, it's over, bury it." Theresa was also a bit helpless. Siegfried, you really know how to cause trouble. Grandpa probably is looking for an opportunity to deal with you...

"Hahaha..." Siegfried awkwardly scratched his head, feeling a bit scared.

Ding dong, ding dong.

At this moment, the doorbell rang, and the two had to interrupt their conversation to go open the door.

But Kiana had already happily run to open the door, and upon seeing the visitor, she was excited.

"Aunt Theresa, the Bishop is here with your dad!"

Siegfried: ???

Theresa: ???

Cecilia was still chopping vegetables, but upon hearing this, she was stunned, almost cutting her hand. However, curiosity got the better of her, and she poked her head out from the kitchen.

Cecilia: ???

Siegfried was now in a state of panic. What is this, what is this?

Is the Bishop coming to single him out since he couldn't find a reason to kill him alone?

Can someone give me a tip? Someone is trying to harm me, Theresa, it's you who brought the Bishop here, right!

Waiting online, I am the anxious king, hurry, hurry, hurry! Theresa is now confused, what? My dad? Do clones have dads too?

No, it's that kid who came!

The kid with the super-additional generation came! Wow, it's all Siegfried's fault. If he didn't come to find him, she wouldn't have stumbled upon this scene.

Is there anyone? Help, I'm in a hurry! I'm the vanguard, hurry, hurry, hurry!

Cecilia was puzzled. Why did the Bishop suddenly visit? Is this boy the foster son of the Bishop that the Valkyries have been talking about? He's really young.

Cecilia thought, it seems that she needs to make more food for dinner tonight.

Kiana was very happy and curious. Her clear blue eyes stared at the boy next to Otto, full of curiosity.

He's a boy she hasn't seen before...

"Hahaha, Bishop, hello." Siegfried walked out of the room, followed by Theresa, who was carefully observing the situation behind her.

"Theresa, why don't you greet your grandpa and dad?" Siegfried pushed Theresa out with a smile.

"Theresa, give your grandpa and dad a greeting."

Forget it, it doesn't matter anymore. Let it all be destroyed.

Theresa, without any precautions, pushed herself out, facing Chase and Otto. Countless llamas galloped in her heart.

Theresa: ???
