Su Xiaobai barely glanced at her, his eyebrow twitching in irritation. 'Of course, she'd make this a nuisance.'
"Look at me! Why aren't you playing along?!" she pouted, splashing more water at him.
She giggled again, clearly enjoying the attention, or rather, the lack of it that was forcing her to pester him even more.
He sighed, wiping the water off his face. "You've got to be kidding me..." he muttered, shaking his head.
His eyes flicked to Xiao Hei, who stood nearby, watching in silent amusement. "This is what I get stuck with? Babysitting this spoiled princess?"
Ling Er didn't let up, stepping closer as she splashed more water. "You're no fun! I thought you'd be more exciting than this. Aren't you supposed to be a big, scary villain?"
Su Xiaobai shot her a glare, barely suppressing a groan. "Who's the real villain here? You've been attacking me with water for the past ten minutes."
Her eyes sparkled as she grinned wider, clearly enjoying herself. "It's just water, Big Brother Su! You can handle a little water, can't you? Or are you scared?" She tilted her head playfully, her wet hair sticking to her neck as she taunted him with her adorable pout.
"Scared?" Su Xiaobai wiped more water from his face and let out a long sigh. "I'm scared I might drown in your whining if you keep this up."
Ling Er blinked, then burst into laughter, her soft voice ringing out like little bells. "Oh, come on! I'll stop, I'll stop! But only if you promise to pay attention to me!"
Su Xiaobai rolled his eyes. 'This girl's going to drive me insane.'
He ignored Ling Er's splashing and crouched down, his focus shifting to Xiao Hei, who stood quietly on the water's surface like a perfectly crafted doll.
Her small form remained unnaturally still, her red eyes glowing faintly as she observed the scene without any of the mischief that plagued Ling Er.
Perfectly cleaned and dressed, Xiao Hei stood as if nothing could disturb her, even with the river flowing beneath her feet. Su Xiaobai gave a satisfied nod. 'At least one of them knows how to behave,' he thought, feeling a strange sense of pride.
Ling Er, noticing his attention had wandered, pouted even more, stomping her foot in the water. "Hey! Don't just ignore me, Big Brother! What's so interesting about your creepy little puppet?"
Su Xiaobai didn't even glance her way, instead continuing to admire the eerie calmness of Xiao Hei. 'Definitely more reliable than this spoiled brat.'
With a slight gesture, Su Xiaobai sent Xiao Hei back into his cauldron ring.
The little demon girl vanished in an instant, leaving the water undisturbed where she had been standing moments before.
He exhaled deeply, his shoulders sagging in resignation.
Su Xiaobai's innocent smile hid the true devil inside, his mind already scheming as he crouched beside the river, watching Ling Er splash around like a little brat.
'She asked for it, didn't she?' he thought, his grin growing wider as he pretended to be the doting big brother.
"Alright, little princess," Su Xiaobai said softly, his tone dripping with mock kindness, "let's play. But remember, you're the one who wanted this."
Ling Er's eyes lit up, excitement sparkling in those wide, naive eyes. "Finally! Show me what you've got, Big Brother Su!" she squealed, splashing water at him with those delicate hands of hers, the water droplets tracing down her soft skin, glistening under the sunlight.
Su Xiaobai dipped his hand into the water, swirling it playfully, but there was nothing innocent about the way his qi surged through the river, manipulating the flow beneath them. "This will be fun," he whispered, more to himself than her.
Before she could react, a wave—no, a massive surge of water—rose from the riverbed, twisting like a giant serpent, and crashed into Ling Er with the full force of his spiritual energy.
SPLASH!
"Wh—"
Ling Er's delicate body was tossed like a ragdoll, her soft voice lost in the spray as she hit the water, her robes instantly clinging to her curves.
She gasped for breath, trying to regain her balance, her cheeks flushing with both the cold and the shock.
"Oops!" Su Xiaobai's voice oozed fake concern, his smile never leaving his face. "I didn't mean for it to be that strong, little princess. Are you alright?"
Ling Er, struggling to stand, shot him a murderous glare. "Y-You did that on purpose!" she sputtered, her soaked hair clinging to her face and shoulders, water running down the curve of her chest and seeping into the valley between her breasts.
Su Xiaobai's grin widened. "Did I? I'm just a weak cultivator showing you a bit of water control, you know. You did want to play."
Her eyes narrowed, but before she could shout at him again, he flicked his wrist, sending another surge of qi into the water.
This time, the wave towered over her, almost comically large compared to her small, drenched frame.
"Su Xiaobai, no—!" she cried, her voice panicked.
SPLASH!
The water engulfed her entirely, and when she reemerged, gasping for air, her robes were practically glued to her body, outlining every curve in sinful detail.
Her soft, budding breasts rose and fell with every shaky breath, and her skin—pale and delicate—glistened under the morning sun.
Su Xiaobai couldn't help but laugh, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh, little princess, you look like a drowned kitten."
Ling Er sputtered and spit out water, her face now a deep red. "Y-You're doing this on purpose! You're evil!"
Su Xiaobai crouched down, a smirk playing on his lips. "Evil? Me?" he asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'm just helping you cool down a bit. Besides, aren't you the one who wanted attention?"
As she tried to wring out her soaked robes, he sent another ripple of qi through the water, causing her to spin in place like a helpless doll.
Her soft cries of frustration echoed through the forest as she flailed, trying to keep her balance, her body swaying in the water, her once-confident demeanor shattered.
Su Xiaobai grinned even wider, his heart racing with the thrill of seeing her so powerless. "I could teach her a real lesson right now... but where's the fun in ending it too soon?"
Ling Er glared at him, cheeks flushed, her robe now hugging her petite body in all the right places, making her look all the more like the innocent little doll he was pretending to play with. "You... you bastard!" she hissed, her voice shaking with rage and embarrassment.
Su Xiaobai chuckled, letting the water calm just enough for her to regain her footing. "Oops. Looks like I got carried away. You're still standing though, right?" He winked at her, enjoying the sight of her flushed, wet face and the way she pouted like a spoiled child.
She crossed her arms over her chest, trying to cover up her now nearly-transparent robe, but Su Xiaobai was having too much fun to stop now. "Maybe next time, you'll think twice before challenging me, little princess. Consider this a lesson in humility."
Her lips quivered, and she glared at him with watery eyes. "You... you're the worst!"
