"My time has come to leave this village. While I can not stay to help guide you, I will give you a way to find me when you decide you are ready to." The mage handed me a card that had her name and the village she resides in on it. 'Anna' the card read. The village name, Kurthos, was a village that I was unfamiliar with.

I waved goodbye to Anna, who headed south of my small village. I could not process what had just happened. Meeting Anna and hearing what my attribute was left me with more questions than answers. What did she mean legendary? How do I use my attribute? What should I do now?

Before answering these questions, I needed to sleep. I headed home, and opened a door to an empty cottage.

I had lived alone since I was young. My parents both passed away from a cold winter years ago, leaving me with only this cottage.

I went to my bed, and laid down. It took me a long time to fall asleep, but eventually, my eyes closed.

...

...

...

*BOOM*

I jolted awake. An explosion towards the village has woken me up. I look outside my window to see a red glow on the small layer of snow covering the ground.

I ran out of my cottage, trying to see what was happening. I head towards the glow, finding the village on fire. People are screaming, running away from the village center. When I look closer, I see a group of people wearing white bone masks setting the blaze.

"Have you found them yet?" One of the masked people said.

"No one matching their description." Responded a different one.

Who could they be talking about?

"You." A low, raspy voice said behind me. I jumped away from the voice. The masked man grabbed my neck with his hand and lifted me off the ground. He was tall.

"Do you know anything of a mage with snow white hair?" said the man.

Anna? Why would they be looking for Anna? Even though I don't know her, I can't give away the person who has opened the path for my dreams to happen.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about" I strained myself to say.

"Unfortunate." Said the man, throwing me down in-front of him. He put his hand out, and a red glow started to emanate from it.

I have got to do something! I have got to run! I have got to get away! After thinking this, I knew that I could not. I covered my face with my hand, trying to block my view of him. I screamed.

A blinding white light came forth from my hand.

*BOOM*

"AGH" The man screamed in pain. When I moved my hand away from my face, I was in shock. The mans arm laid in-front of me, charred and detached.

"What did you just do?!" Screamed the man. "I will kill you for tha-"

"You will not." Interrupted a different man with a much smoother voice.

I looked towards the voice, seeing a tall, dark haired man with scars across his face. Unlike the others, he was not wearing a mask.

"L-Lord!" The arm-less man said, bowing to him. "Lord, this kid just blew off my arm! Let me deal with him!"

"And why should I care about that?" Said the dark haired man. "Do you think I would let you waste such a talent because you lost your pathetic arm?"

"..." The man said nothing, cowering in fear. When the dark haired man turned back to me, a wave of rage filled the arm-less mans face. He jumped at me, ignoring what his 'Lord' had said to him.

*crunch*

The dark haired man had done nothing more than wave his hand towards the arm-less man, and yet there laid nothing but a few hairs and some blood.

"Idiot." The dark haired man said towards the hair and blood. He turned to me. "Finally, someone worth making my subordinate." He said with a smile.

"Wha-" I said getting dizzy.

My vision turned black.
